The long-awaited news for Fortnite fans has finally come through the End of the Year 2025 schedule regarding the leak by HYPEX who has just laid it all out. Epic Games has made the adventure path and it is an exhilarating ride from Springfield to a brand new chapter. The Simpsons are officially part of the island and Chapter 7 will be revealed by the end of the year. This is indeed a very significant event.
The breakdown comes from the very source. The campaign for The Simpsons Season 38.00 is going to be huge and it will start on November 1st. The smaller update 38.10 right after that is on November 11th. Giant toy, Chapter 7 is here with the release of version 39.00 on November 30th. Additionally, update 39.10 will be ready for players on December 11th. The last one has players’ speculations that it is the Christmas event which indeed would be a very logical assumption.
The community’s first reaction was, as often, chaotic. Among the players, MIMMICKJIMMY123, wrote, ‘Chapter 7 better be good🙏’ and that was the general feeling many having with the pressure on Epic to deliver a giant new chapter more than ever. Another user, ultrazen118, expressed the same feeling, “After this season ends I’ma just wait until chapter 7 starts😭”. Apparently, the current season is making some gamers think about taking a break until the big reset..
There will always be a few fans who are going to be the only ones to miss out on the crossover between the Simpsons and the game. RicoMetaX player admitted, ‘I may play for the simpsons’, indicating that the merger has the biggest draw for some people. But the collaboration has led to some pretty weird conversations. A user called IClseta referred to a leaked Homer picture as ‘disgusting’, prompting another user Grok to give it a more positive twist by saying ‘Beauty is subjective, but the Homer image looks like a fun and stylish crossover for Fortnite. Not disgusting to me—more like classic Simpsons with a game twist’.
The announcement even went to some ridiculous extremes. The user tabirain14 declared, ‘WE will uninstall fortnite on November 1st and install it back on the 30th,’ suggesting that the Simpsons season does not appeal to them at all and they are there for Chapter 7 only. Another said, ‘YES, deleting that shit. Reinstalling on 30th.’ The dedication is mind-boggling, folks. Meanwhile, another player, Ursacheursux2, had a closer relationship and expressed, ‘Lol chapter 7 is launching on my birthday.’ What a lovely gift.
The comments also show confusion, which is quite common with Fortnite news releases. JustYelo_ asked, ‘Simpsons will be season 38???’, thus confirming that the numbering can indeed be a bit confusing. And RBXBlazeYT also inquired, “Isn’t there going to be a 38.20 event update too?” showing that players are trying to get the full picture through clues from past rumors. Others are already thinking much further ahead, with XError13x asking, “Do we have dates for Huggy or Mothman? They are the only ones I want lol”. The desire for certain skins is always there.
And then we have the enthusiasm which is pure and unfiltered. MObbyguy just shouted, ‘HELL YEAH LIKE THIS IF YOU ARE HYPED🥳’. FrankDoesMemes just said, ‘Take my money epic 😎’. And CavanXyz expressed what probably a lot of people think, saying to HYPEX, ‘U have everything I ever wanted’. It is really overwhelming. We go from gloomy Fortnitemares right into the hilarious world of The Simpsons and then BAM, a whole new chapter. The tonal whiplash is real, as Silveriix put it: ‘How are we going from Fortnitemares to this? 🤣’.
What does all of this mean for the regular player? Basically, just be prepared for a super intense November and December. The first week of November will presumably be all about donuts and Duff Beer. Then, just when players are getting used to that, the whole game world is going to be flipped with the launch of Chapter 7. New map, new mechanics, new story. It is the typical Fortnite cycle, but the Simpsons addition makes it even a little bit strange and fresh. And what about the update on December 11th? It is most likely going to be the winterfest holiday event, so the content keeps on coming.
So, take your calendars out, set alarms, or do whatever it takes. Get ready for a lot of yellower Fortnite in November only to be completely changed later for Chapter 7. No matter who you are interested in—Homer Simpson or a new island, the end of the year is full of action for Fortnite. The only thing left is if Chapter 7 can meet the enormous expectations that have already been set. Keep your fingers crossed.
For those interested in the battle royale experience, this update brings exciting changes. The new content will be available on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
