In case you haven’t noticed, more and more gaming developers are putting their own spin on Halloween events. It’s happening with all of the major titles, from Fortnite to Sea of Thieves. Now, a Halloween-inspired event is heading to For Honor, the action-adventure game developed and published by Ubisoft.

The developers have done this in For Honor in the past, so it’s becoming a consistent ritual that players have looked forward to around this time. It keeps gameplay and cosmetics fresh, which is always what you like seeing from developers. It shows they’re not resting on their laurels. So what exactly is this event and what do For Honor players have to look forward to? Let’s find out.

Starting off, the October event is being called Fangs of the Otherworld. It’s introducing a lot of new spooky costumes that players can earn by completing a new mode called Spooky Slashers.

The mode involves players going around a map capturing zones. Upon doing so, special buffs will be rewarded. They are needed to defeat the various demons scattered throughout different areas. If you die during this mode, you lose all of your special buffs.

It seems like an interesting mode that players can use to get in the mood for this beloved holiday. Completing challenges will net you unique Halloween cosmetics, such as masks you can wear in battle.

A trailer was just put out detailing all of this crazy action. It shows the appropriately decorated battle arenas that you’ll have the pleasure of going toe to toe in. There are skeletons, pumpkins, and green magic fog everywhere. These elements really bring home the Halloween theme.

Some of the masks that players will be able to earn are also highlighted. These include werewolves, goblins, and vampires. The developers at Ubisoft are doing everything they can to make this event as fun as possible, and it seems like their hard work is paying off.

The event will last all the way until November 4. That’s plenty of time to jump in on this Halloween action if you already own a copy of For Honor. If you don’t, it’s a pretty great title. It gives you the chance to take history’s most skilled warriors and wage war on well-detailed battlefields.

Some of the factions you get to control throughout history include vikings, samurai, and knights. In each faction, there are plenty of warriors to play with and upgrade. It’s a great action-adventure game all around.
