Honestly, it just came out straight from nowhere like an air raid on Midgar, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is now officially part of the Nintendo Switch 2 line-up. Yes, that’s what you heard-That Cloud summons sword, Tifa fists and Sephiroth emo villain into the next-generation handheld from Nintendo to play within the Switch’s magical world.

Wait, hold it-a Switch 2? That thing hasn’t even been “officially” announced yet, but here we go again leaking like this. Wow, what a nostalgic kind of crazy industry one would find him stuck in-well, if it still held that truth (and let’s face it, they’re usually true), then news from Square Enix to this horde of Switch fans would really make a large grin form on most faces.

What’s this deal with Intergrade anyway? For the uninitiated (or maybe the ones who just didn’t want to shell out the bucks for a PS5), this is the version loaded with all DLCs, all-cut graphics, and that sweet, sweet Yuffie episode all under the tag “Portable.” Yeah. Portable.

Bring it on: it’s gotta be good. How does it run? The PS4 version did not strike up a smooth gameplay experience, and the Switch 1 could barely run Witcher 3 without turning it into a toaster. Switch 2 is gonna have to bring some SERIOUS power to carry all those insane particle effects from Remake and even heftier summons with it.

And what is going to be the date of release? If this is true, does this mean the Switch 2 is closer than we guessed? Or is Square just putting a cart before the horse? Either way, timing is sus.

No word at all from either Nintendo or Square Enix (yawn), but if this holds true, it will surely become one of the biggest titles for Switch 2. Just think of the excitement: booting up a brand new Switch 2 and the first thing to meet the player’s eye is that of the spiky haired Cloud in HD.

So… hype or nah? Honestly, if true, cop that instantly. But we need clarity first. And maybe start saving for that Switch 2 pre-order. Just in case.
