In the biggest announcement this franchise has ever had, Techland gave shockwaves to the Dying Light community—Dying Light: The Beast is here, with violence that has never been witnessed before. The official tweet suggests the players are going to face the harrowing choice of setting Kyle Crane’s inner beast loose in combat scenarios heretofore unthought of in the series. So yeah, the hype is real.
The tweet, with the pre-order link for the game, set off pandemonium amongst gamers, some begging for the return of the hives (shoutout to Mr. Ness), while others are just losing their minds about Kyle Crane literally fighting his inner demons. JarvvGames put it right: “Kyle crane is the ultimate inner demon vs inner peace battle.” I mean, who won’t want to have some emotional angst go along with zombie-slaying chaos?
But about that gameplay clip… Ragnarliest summed it up: “holy shit he just fucking stopped that motherfuckers full power overhead… Is it possible our goat is not natty?” So, what will get you hyped? Because the so-far satisfying much-violent combat looks insanely daunting in the eyes of players debating how deep the ‘beast mode’ mechanic will go.
Pre-orders are in. Lee PSFour has already confirmed his copy for PS5; honestly? Same. The hype is very contagious. Even GamerMom1969 could hardly contain herself, tweeting, “Yes! The battle inside me to contain my excitement!! 😂😝” Relatable.
And yet, there are questions that still await answers. Deadchrisu asked in German, which we shall translate now: “Does anyone know when the update for PS4 is coming?? 😞😞😞” It’s a valid question since next-gen upgrades sometimes tend to forget about old-gen players. Loco Lowg demands the PC specs, and Wesder wants to know where the Deluxe Edition Upgrade is; it sounds fair.
Then came the platinums: “Will there be a physical edition?” asked Nax_XIII. Phriffo later chimed in with some insider knowledge: “According to some people, it will be digital first, but we will surely get a physical copy.” Good news for the collectors while we await an official declaration from the team.
And the voice actor issue. Paul_096_ hit the rim: “Will it be the same voice actor from the original Kyle crane?” Because, DARLING, Kyle Crane’s voice is iconic; switching it now would be… a choice.
And so forth. GibiSerge would like language options to be split by audio, subtitles, and interface (a great QoL request), while Oblivionisback will hold out until there’s auto-loot, at least. DesolateRunning is dreaming big with “can we get more PC mods for Dying Light 2 for consoles that let users change game mechanics and add new features?” A gamer can dream, right?
But at this point, ELASIRI has got to be thinking, “Ps5 pro support when?” But, bud, the game’s not even out yet—calm down a notch.
And then the real kicker is: KatieKatArt94 dropped a Doom reference: “Rip and tear…until it is done.” Because nothing says “brutal combat” quite like a little crossover hype.
Bottom line? Dying Light: The Beast is shaping up to be a wild ride, and we’re all here for it, be it for lore, combat, or just sheer madness, one thing is clear- Techland is going all in. So…are you ready to unleash the beast?
Pre-orders are live, so make your move if you want to ride this madness now. Just saying.
