The Doc has been doing his thing again, and this time, things look extremely different. The two-time back-to-back blockbuster streaming champion announced he was going live with another horror game for Day 3 in a row of just putting new games on his channel. He must have said no less about his look and athleticism since he started calling himself a variety streamer. Straight from the Doc.

He tweeted about 30 minutes before his stream that he’s now streaming yet another horror game where he’s just trying to figure out what in the hell everybody is doing, just like the rest of us. The Doc really puts on a show when he is just as confused as the rest. He attached two links, probably to the stream and maybe something else, but you all already know how those shortened URLs on Twitter are.

The replies to the tweet are pure chaos and hype, just as every other Champions Club tweet should be. Marc said it sounds like a life simulator, and it actually does. Watching the Doc stumble his way through a horror game is just about life sim. Then Manolo comes out asking if Doctober has started yet, which is that time of year when Doc goes 100 percent in on horror games, with an obligatory smidge of football talk thrown in because, well, Doc does like to predict NFL games.

Fans, however, truly do love this streak of variety from Doc. Schrader McGavin says he’s been enjoying it more than Warzone, which, considering Doc mostly built his empire on shooters, speaks volumes. He called Doc‘s single-player playthroughs 🤌🤌🤌(chef’s kiss), meaning perfect. For real, it’s so weird but so entertaining to see an insane FPS player just melt away in a horror game.

And then they start talking about Hell Let Loose, which Doc played once; somebody else is saying to play OTG again; but, for now, it looks like Doc is fully committed to the horrors, with the community firing up about his antics and viewers hyping him with “let’s go champ” comments that will go on forever.

Then someone, Talionbrimbor, goes on about “stronk independent female” characters and “woke signaling,” calling out Blackrock Larry into the bargain. Come on, man; it’s horror game streams, not a political debate! But then, that’s the Champions Club for ya — always lurking around for the unexpected cast.

Doc has been going all over the place lately, and it’s a cool thing to see. Back in the day, he was that battle royale king, but lately, he’s been branching out. And three days of three different games? Now, that’s variety content. And since horror games bring out the other side of the streamer: From jump scares to confusion, all that is excellent content.

Of course, we’re ever so close to that lovely time of the year when horror games feel just right, so the timing of those three days is dead on. The days get shorter; the weather gets cooler. That’s when a nice horror game is going to get into you. Doc‘s going to get on that train because after three days, I answer that Doc has his interest regionally invested in delivering new content to his audience.

It’s piquant to see what the community reaction looks like. It’s that teddy-bear-old silver, white carpet sort of thing hence it’s somewhat refreshing to see a big streamer like Doc going a little off the beaten track. Even the ones calling out some shooters or football picks are actually backing him and whatever he is playing. That’s true admiring communities for ya.

Therefore, if you require some form of spectacle to watch today, then you might want to check out Doc. Right now, he’s probably yelling at a monster or trying to solve a very convoluted puzzle, with him oozing charisma all over the place, providing production value just close to his heart. The Big Two has never done anything by halves, even if he’s faking not knowing one bit about what he’s doing in a game.

These are the kinds of contents to keep audiences coming back to streams again and again. The big moments and great plays are fun as well, but it’s sometimes exciting just watching somebody experience a game for the first time. Especially when that somebody is as entertaining as Dr Disrespect. Whether he’s dominating a shooter or getting his face handed to him in a horror game, the guy knows how to present himself.

And after a while, that’s what the streaming business should be about: putting on a good show for the hands-on-and-ready fellow-watching the stream. Doc could probably make watching paint dry entertaining with his commentary and character work, so him playing horror games where he’s actually engaged and reacting to things, that’s content gold right there.

So yeah, the Doc‘s doing variety now apparently. Three days straight of new games, today being another horror title. The Champions Club is here for it, and honestly so am I. Seeing big streamers venture out of their comfort zones is always fun as it keeps the content fresh and the viewers engaged. And if anyone can make variety streaming work while committing to that over-the-top character, it’s Dr Disrespect.
