Whatever day it is, Guardians, strap on your seatbelts because Destiny 2 Week brings the whole house down. Immediately upon the release of an ungodly amount of content, emotions ran very high in the fanbase. Arms Week is upon us, the Solstice shall return, and Trials of Osiris launch with the inaugural fundraiser, which saw Bungie Love raising an excess of $1.4 MILLION to charity. Yet, the community is daring to have an opinion.
Arms Week’s next step is live and running towards the guns. New bounties, new challenges, early XP trouble had everyone sweating. Panic-stricken, @officialskmuzik cried unto the world, “I missed a day of Arms Week bounties, please confirm whether the Sharpshooter seal is now no longer achievable without spending silver?” Yikes. Though problems with XP were rectified, kudos to the @Destiny2Team for the quick fix.
Now for Solstice, which returns next week. Some are excited, some are not so much. @RossKasal dropped this truth bomb: “So Solstice basically isn’t an event anymore? Big L.” And @him_anonymous28 has a very heavy heart over “Rubber ducky Titan and sombrero Warlock? Devastated fr 😭” Fashion is endgame, Bungie might have dropped the ball here.
By now, Trials of Osiris return tomorrow, and opinions stay the same… mixed. Already stressing about the loot is @nothewine: “What tier gear should we expect from the flawless chest if adepts are gone?” On the other hand, @Crusty_ME_Man is here and not holding back with his sarcasm: “Grab your Cronus controller, lag skipping software, and XIM cheats! No penalties or bans! Let’s Goooooooo!” Oof.
Of course, it also sparks Warlock drama. @Vorian_Rob calls out Bungie’s balance: “Nerf Warlocks into the ground, then say you’re ‘looking into it’? Cool, cool.” And @Zozrge sums it up with a skull emoji. 💀
Not everything is chaos. On the beaches, @mrbakerontheweb is vibing so hard: “I love how ridiculously beach-themed the event is this time around lmao.” And @AkiAndFam is living the life of “BUDGET YOUR BUILD.” Priorities.
Biggest W: @BungieLove raising $1.4 million for charity. Madness. Yet the cries about leveling systems continued, about error codes (@TheOnlySpynexx struggling with anteater and weasel errors), and the general rage. @Codewallis was just much louder: “Listening to the playerbase my ass.”
So, yeah, Destiny 2 has a lot on its plate. A few wins, some Ls, and a whole lot of cool player feedback. Will Bungie extend a thread to that? Time shall tell. Until then, Guardians, grind those bounties, pray for Warlocks, and maybe… if you value your sanity… stay away from Trials.
