Love is in the air even in the gaming world, and Apex Legends is all dressed up for the occasion. The latest preseason update of the new battle royale game has added some Valentine’s gears, cosmetics, and some bug fixes.

Respawn Entertainment is offering Valentine’s day loot until February 19th. Respawn Community Manager shared the 2.13.2019 Preseason Patch Notes on Reddit.

The loot includes the Longbow Epic DMR skin “Through the Heart.” There is also a lovely Pathfinder banner frame with the words “Love the Game.” Those who can successfully revive a member of his squad before Tuesday next week can earn a new banner too.

The limited-time “Live Die Live” banner badge is available from February 13th to February 19th.

Aside from the store items, Respawn has also rolled out some updated gears for Apex Legends players. The Arc Star has been upgraded to display a grenade warning indicator. Respawn also fixed bugs, including the removal of the exploit that allowed players to duplicate items in the inventory.

Improvements on UI were also carried out. Among the fixes is the extended timeout that caused players with slow hard drives to experience system crash.

Respawn said they have also addressed several client and server issues on stability. It includes fixing the gray screen in lobby seen by players who are connecting for the first time. The issue on players’ friend’s list that all appears to be offline and not ready to party was fixed.

Likewise, it shortened the duration of the Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather clones. With the latest update, the clones are set to remain by only 1 second.

Aside from Valentine’s loot this week, the second Rival Apex Legends Challenge will happen on February 19th. The first event took place on February 12th on Twitch.

The game will have 48 competitors competing live, and Respawn will stream it here www.twitch.tv/playapex. The first season of the game will kick off in March where Apex Legends Battle Pass will debut. Apex fans will also get to see new Legends, loot, and weapons among other surprises.

Launched a little over a week, Apex Legends has already managed to create a thriving community of 25 million players. Make that over 25 million!

In the most recent statement, Respawn Entertainment founder Vince Zampella said they aim to build the game with the community. Zampella said they want to incorporate the feedback from the players and encouraged gamers to say what they want.
