Activision has formally disclosed the very first look at Haven’s Hollow on December 4th, the fresh Resurgence map that will accompany the entrance of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 01. This map is represented as a stunning town in the Appalachians and is full of intrigue, destruction, and a totally new territory for players to uncover. The announcement trailer reveals a pretty American countryside with mountains, forests, and a large city area that seems perfect for close-range fighting.
The feedback from the Call of Duty community has been quite… let’s just say it is extremely mixed. The trailer does radiate a rather peculiar rustic charm that is quite different from the usual military shooter settings. And speaking about the different, the choice of Kenny Rogers’ music in the trailer has drawn mixed responses – there are some people who loved the atmosphere while ubasoft was whining ‘Country music! Really?, c’mon guys, you can do better than that!’
Haven’s Hollow is presumed to be a map purely designed for Resurgence mode; this indicates a faster game flow alongside faster respawn times in comparison to the standard battle royale play. The design of the map appears to consist of several distinctly different locations rather than the recycling of existing multiplayer maps, which was the case of Blackout in Black Ops 4.
