So Call of Duty has dropped a huge update on Black Ops 6 Zombies in general; it was designed to help players with the final Reckoning mission. Directed Mode is now a feature with Season 5 Reloaded, providing players with an assist option for the big finale, the official Call of Duty Twitter said. “Everything has lead to this,” with a zombie emoji-The storyline has been so epic for anyone who has been grinding through zombies.

And so, we’re still adding features for the Finale, while the community’s answer has been, well, Par for the course for a Call of Duty community. The replies to the announcement are insane, with people complaining about everything under the sun except the new mode.

Shouting out loud is more than enough for Ninja Perk not to be working in MP! iQcd3 keeps yelling “Fix ninjaa!!!” followed by some angry emojis, and then there’s Freeman57 practically echoing the same sentiment: “FIX NINJA” in all caps. As if they didn’t read the tweet about the zombies content but just saw a good opportunity to whine about their MP concerns.

Then you have the one guy ranting about snowflakes and trans kids, and then jumping to aim assist vs mouse and keyboard. How do any of those relate to zombies content? He continues to post long, almost unintelligible messages about automation and competitive play, none of which are at all relevant to the Directed Mode announcement. Sometimes I wonder if people even read these tweets before replying.

The real ones: SuperAidi has stated that there is no reward for finishing every Easter egg in the game- and that would be a legit complaint if they’re gonna add a special mode for the finale. WildTaco0 is complaining about how the Warzone service is “ass,” and this one tracks with what everyone has been saying about recently.

What’s interesting is that people have already started discussing Black Ops 7, with The_Safety_Net asking for “carry forward to bo7 for zombies” in two separate replies! So we’re still on Black Ops 6 content, and people are already thinking of the next? That is some serious forward thinking.

Directed Mode sounds somewhat like a game-changing mode for players who have found themselves struggling with the Reckoning finale. The zombies’ finales can be extremely harsh if you’re a solo player or with a team that isn’t familiar with it. Through assist options, directed mode presents a more casual-friendly option for players who want to experience the conclusion of the story but without losing their hair over difficulty.

The cool thing here is that the devs just put out a super dope announcement for some brand-new content, yet immediately the community pulls an uber-fan tantrum about totally unrelated things. Classic Call of Duty community activity. I suppose you would think they’d rather hear that they’re removing features instead of adding a useful new mode.

It is also really good timing for Season 5 Reloaded since mid-season updates are always suited for quality-of-life features such as this. So now, this gives players something to experiment with while waiting for the next big season overhaul. And anything zombies will throw in to help with those soul-crushing Easter egg steps is always a welcome bonus.

That the zombies community is suffering from all this negativity is odd, but at least Treyarch is still supporting zombies with new features. Directed Mode may be precisely what some players require to finally get through the Reckoning finale they’ve all been working for. Sometimes all you need is a helping hand to get through the hardest content and, in that Deputy Modes stand no shame at all.

Now, if we have all been stuck on that Black Ops 6 Zombies finale for quite a while, then maybe try Directed Mode to have some fun trying to achieve something. Definitely, just don’t even bother looking through the replies to the announcement tweet unless you want to watch guys complain about something else about the game.
