A new game touted to be the successor of a racing video game, Burnout, will soon be available on Epic Store.

British game developer Three Fields Entertainment announced recently that Dangerous Driving is coming out on April 9th.

Three Fields Entertainment is also the creator of the popular Burnout series. Dangerous Driving will be available on three platforms including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store. It costs $30, while a bundle which includes Danger Zone 2 will be sold for $40.

The game developer also revealed that Dangerous Driving would have seven locations and 30 total courses. Fans can also expect to get features like unlockable cars and abilities. These can all be obtained when players race online against other players or offline against AI.

Three Fields said the new game would be about “real driving.” They also promised players to get a chance to drive how they fantasize real driving on the road. Dangerous Driving is described as a game that takes inspiration from the classic arcade games of car racing. Players can powerslide, bump, slam, and, scratch around the courses.

There will also be eight different event types that mostly take inspiration from the much-loved Burnout modes.

Burnout creator Alex Ward told the press previously that they want to come back to all their favorite modes. This is one reason why players can see similarities between the latest release and Burnout 1 and 2.

Ward said there would be Boost Chain Races, Pursuit Mode, and Survival Mode. Three Fields also placed some features from B3 and Revenge, such as the Road Rage and Races.

Before releasing its latest racing game, Three Fields Entertainment made Dangerous Golf. But the game was not so good, and the game developer ended up acknowledging it. Later on, the game devs came up with the Danger Zone.

The game is a virtual Crash Testing Facility. It was also tagged as a game that celebrates Burnout’s Crash Mode.

Now that the new game is coming out, Three Fields Entertainment seems to deliver a seamless transition of the series.

To make it clear, Dangerous Driving was not categorically described by the creators as something that succeeds Burnout.
However, Three Fields said that the latest game gives back the word “aggression” to the road. They said the game succeeds in recapturing the “spirit of the past,” taking it to a new level.
