The ultimate Zombies Spawn for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be on the 7th of August, Korean time. The crowds, however, remain wavering as they try to solidify their opinions. Half are excited for the ending to the zombie-slaying saga, and the others are already writing it off, what with Battlefield 6 looming overhead.

According to the information given by that one particular tweet of CharlieIntel, the reply section was crazy. People started turning on the game, labeling it as “garbage.” The complaints ranged from lag, cheaters, and wasting precious time. One of them, @maximus72170, went way too far: “Game crap. Unseen little lags who make you loose fights, so many all kind of cheaters… What the ffkkk are we playing here? Burning valuable time..” Ouch.

But it’s not all reviews saying bad. Some are still hoping heavily for Black Ops 6. @HVCUnit called the new map a “BANGER,” then @thereswru followed it up with “genuinely looks so good,” while @DaBubby_ offered some halfway commentary: “At least they are trying to have a map unique experience this time around.”

Then there was the whole Battlefield 6 name-dropping thing. The majority of the responses rejected Black Ops 6 in favor of EA’s shooter. @jh3ndrixx went scorched earth: “Just shut COD down…out with the old and Battlefield 6 is the new #Battlefield6.” @MatheusKuba said: “lmao august 7 everyone will be playing BF6 and not this garbage game called BO6…”. And yet again, @NinjaBear226 joined in saying, “Ain’t nobody playing that shit. We gonna be playing the Battlefield 6 beta or some other game.”

Some players doubt what this map could get done: @KarimAranky: “If this is the conclusion there SHOULD be an intro and outro cinematic, otherwise this’ll flop.” @PTRCrispy joked, “They acting like they’re dropping Origins 2 😭😭” (For the uninitiated, Origins is one of the most beloved Zombies maps ever, so that’s a high bar.)

The question arises: Does anyone even care about Zombies anymore? @WafflesWealthX made a direct hit with his query: “Do ppl really play zombies tho?” The point is valid. Some die-hard players exist in a minority in the scope of the COD player base.

So is it most exciting or not? A few last hurrahs for Black Ops 6 Zombies will happen on August 7, but the hype is iffy. The shadow of Battlefield 6, technical complaints, and general franchise fatigue may forever mute what Treyarch set out to turn into an exalted sendoff. Hey Zombies guys, mark your calendar because there is a slim chance anyone else in the gaming world would be running with you.
