I mean, this is Fortnite music again, so in essence, Fortnite music collabs exist! And yesterday, the official announcement dropped that his emotes hit the item shop next week. And of course, the community reacted quite crazily to it.
When these icon series emotes come out, they are usually hit or miss. But this time? People are excited. Like, genuinely. One player straight-up said, “Actual W emote 🔥,” which is basically the highest praise you can give in the Fortnite community. Another said, “Finally a good emote with a good song,” and that is an interesting thing to say, but perhaps it is honest. It’s been a bad history recently.
The song, yeah-the-one, is a certified banger. BigXthaPlug is being highly loved and already the players are figuring out their favorite ways to utilize the song. One player mentioned that “I am about to go on a winning spree with All Might and use this at the end of every match,” which paints quite the image in my mind, and by association, I am all for it. And then there are rumors that an All Might edit with that song absolutely slaps? The internet is simultaneously mad and wonderful.
The dance moves are getting some criticism. One user put forth this opinion: “Music obviously slaps… But I’m sorry. The dance is fucking garbage. Like nearly all these icon emotes.” I definitely see where that comment comes from. Sometimes the choreography is an L. The general consensus, however, appears to be that this dance is a step up compared to what we’ve seen lately.
Anyways, with a fresh emote come some classic dilemmas for any Fortnite player relating to spending. “Unfortunately it appears Fortnite may be receiving some of my money” was one of the comments kicking off that vibe. We have all been there, looking down at the item shop with a V-Bucks balance staring right back at us as we let out a sigh and click purchase. The other comments were in desperate agreement: “We will be buying!” Such certainty is admirable.
Then there is the usual conspiracy. “Nah they gonna wait 5 months to drop it and keep dropping dogshit ones to ‘spice up’ the item shop,” predicted one of the players which, in all seriousness, could be true? Epic loves making you wait for the really good stuff sometimes. But hey, another recent announcement supposedly puts this release next week, so no long wait this time, hopefully.
The hype is very real and infecting everyone. People are tagging friends, talking about gifting it to one another, and generally hyping one another. Great vibes and reminders sometimes simple emotes with good songs are what actually gets people talking amid all the large crossovers and crazy skins in the game.
Mark those calendars or set those reminders or whatever you gotta do. BigXthaPlug emotes hitting the Fortnite item shop next week. This has got to be one of the better things we’ve seen in recent times for vibing, music, or just straight-up flexin’ after a Victory Royale with the squad. That says something for an ever-so-interesting season.
Now excuse me while I put this song on repeat, just to soak in the vibes. PlayStation and Xbox players alike are surely vibing too.
