The Elder Scrolls official Twitter account announced their Skyrim content Aetherspire Castle which features a mystical quest and player home in the game’s northernmost area. Bethesda continues to support the game through Creation Club according to the announcement which showed their support for the 13-year-old game but it frustrated players who have been waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI. The response shows that the company fails to meet its current product offerings because the community demands something entirely different.
Bethesda just released new content for Skyrim again. Bethesda introduced Aetherspire Castle as the new content which brings players a different gameplay experience. The game presents a mysterious castle which players need to explore to discover new characters and treasure before they can take ownership of the entire castle as their personal base. The original Skyrim experience provided players with a magical atmosphere which appeared through new lore and hidden secrets and all that good stuff. The player NEUTRINIX tweeted that it brings “Skyrim content that actually feels mystical again which shows peak Elder Scrolls energy.” The project appears successful on its surface as a victory.
The public’s reaction to the event showed everybody their true feelings about the situation. The gamer community reaction to the event became an uncontrollable outpouring of gamer complaints about everything. The initial responses to the situation had nothing to do with the castle because they showed people who wanted to shout their thoughts into the universe. The loinmin account expressed his demands about The Elder Scrolls 6 release using “DAMN GIVE US ELDER SCROLLS 6 ALREADY” statement. The user YaBoyHyrule explained “This isn’t Elder Scrolls 6” about the existing content. Trumpenter7 expressed his disappointment about the situation with his statement “It’s been almost 20 years guys, come on.” The same feeling still exists for people who experienced the time between Skyrim’s release and the present because 13 years have passed since that event.
The situation displays an extreme combination of different feelings. The community appears to show actual excitement about upcoming high-quality Skyrim assets which will operate on consoles because of their official capacity. The first group represents an extremely loud faction which has reached their conclusion. The gaming community expressed their opinion through GHZ33_BEAT who wrote “No one cares for content for a 15 years old game.” Ouch. But you can kinda see their point? The Elder Scrolls account main announcement received public interest because it revealed another DLC for a game that has been re-released multiple times instead of announcing the next mainline video game.
The public demands and complaints about the situation continued to grow larger. The TES6 demand grew into a situation where people started to explain their needs for every repair or new release they wanted. User gamerdad79 wanted information about the Switch 2 update that would correct the water bobbing issue and the frame rate problems. The user AudioGoddz continues to wait for “Skyrim VR to come to PSVR2 finally.” The user JohannesICXC requested “more mod storage on xbox!” The user T0NNAQ requested that Sony receive “full mod support” because “other games are doing it.” The single tweet became a complete solution box for all remaining Skyrim problems.
The user community displayed confusion about the nature of the included content. User FRILYS1 asked “How do I download it? Has it been tested by you to ensure it works properly?” The user asked this question because some Creations have unreliable histories. The user Ebony_Darknesss declared that Creation Club content consists of “all slop that they somehow think is acceptable to sell” based on his response to them. The business model receives mixed opinions from users. Fordfocus17 wanted developers to create actual updates instead of making mods which exist in their current form.
What point did I reach initially? Oh right, the chaos. The situation included both positive and negative elements. A few people wanted to enjoy the gaming experience. The user RxtroA1 faced a gaming problem because he reached a point where he could not continue “stuck on step 3 of the treasure hunt, what do i do?” The user PrinceCapelle took advantage of the moment to announce his acquisition of the Oblivion remaster because the purchase assists TES6 development which creates a win-win situation for him. So sweet. The user alexis_lsc was waiting for a content release date for Iliac Bay. User myrtogen tweeted “snow elves :3” to show his current mood. The main emotion present in the situation shows people become restless because they want. The first emotion leads to expectation which creates a deep sense of restlessness.
