Obsididian Entertainment has started an avalanche of speculation concerning its newer baby, the Avowed Premium Edition, and fans are reacting strongly. One of the bigger bits in the premium package will comprise a digital artbook and soundtrack, giving players the opportunity to delve into the world of the game long before they can slap some steel or throw a spell.

What’s there to know? Well, A- is going to be a forthcoming fantasy RPG in the Pillars of Eternity climate under Obsidian’s banner. Described as a first-person journey game with deep lore, brutal combat, and some gorgeously rendered views as seen by the artbook teaser, players will very soon have the opportunity for an up-close-and-personal perspective of the creatures, characters, and environments forming the stage of the game.

The bonuses- the digital art book is certainly important for the lore junkies. Obsidian has a resplendent reputation for weaving richly narrative lines in all its games. The bonus contents are likely to be a gold mine for their loyal fans, who would want every possible detail to be examined and analyzed. The soundtrack? Icing on the cake; if it is even close to that of Pillars of Eternity’s hauntingly beautiful score, we will feast.

From Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app for Windows, and Steam, the Premium should be in your hands pretty soon. The rumor mill is silent on any sorts of physical edition (begin to pray, collector brethren) but digital fans can place their pre-orders if they are willing to sink deep into the waters of commitment.

Get confused about why? Well, if you’re role-playing in an actual sense, then you should probably pay attention, as Obsidian’s pedigree speaks for itself with New Vegas and their latest Worlds, wherein yet again they have developed worlds that seem so damned real. Avowed looks like it might as well be their next big title, and the Premium Edition extras represent a nice little touch for the completists wanting a fully fleshed-out experience.

No mentions as of yet in the reply thread, but just know given one hour after the announcement, those Obsidian die-hards would tear into that. Fan theories, wishlists, and possibly some very well-fought arguments over whether or not the art book should’ve been physical-all of that, but the point is that it’s good to see what more Avowed has got.

So if you are in, go onto the links in the tweet and make sure to get a pre-order! If not, there is still some time to wait for gameplay footages-but come to think of it, what with Obsidian’s name, there is a good chance this one will live up to any possible overhype.
