So the Assassin’s Creed official account just unleashed this utterly insane puzzle on Twitter and, you know, that sent the entire AC community spelunking in ancient ruins sans any parkour. The AC account posted that picture along with the caption: “The first 3 Assassin Activities you find describe your quests for the day,” and then they issued the bonus challenge to find 11 assassin names hidden in the clues. What even is that?

Within just a few moments, replies started filling up with players claiming what they found. Some see actual game mechanics lurking in the words like EAVESDROP, BLEND, and CONTRACT-which really is so fitting for assassin daily quests-let’s get real. Others are seeing actual character names in there?? Altair, Ezio, Kassandra, Jacob, Bayek…the classics. An impassioned user named GGNomad even went ahead to name all 11 they found: Altair, Ezio, Arno, Evie, Jacob, Shay, Connor, Aveline, Alexios, Kassandra, Bayek. Respect.

Then some like Edgar Montes De Oca posted the screenshot with half of the words circled, and it was just chaos. Someone else comes and comments, “Drop seat artifact… Ok.” Translation: what on earth does that mean? The randomness! There is an entire thread about whether or not “Seoul” is in the puzzle, and at this point, everyone is convinced an Assassin’s Creed-Korea is officially a thing. Um, what was I talking about?

Right, then the daily quests. So supposedly, the first three gibberish-looking words that you find in this word jumble are your “quests” for the day. Some got very typical Assassin matters, like “Eavesdrop, Blend, Eagle Vision,” which sounds like a casual Tuesday in Constantinople. Others, however, got things like “Leave, Drop, Puzzle” or “Jacob Eat Contract,” and, well, that second one actually sounds like something Jacob Frye might do, honestly.

Always that one guy-Olrr came in with “As your games are garbage now” with a laughing emoji. Like haters are going to hate, but why are you even here then? Then Milktub69 goes on an entire rant about kunai pickup rates and tool perks like this is a developer feedback forum. Sir this is a word search.

The best part however is that everyone’s interpreting it differently. Some find gameplay terms, some character names, others locations… it’s just like one of those puzzle images where you either see the vase or two faces. But, with hidden blades.

Now, lowkey, I’m wondering if it is a teaser for another release?? Ubisoft doesn’t drop random puzzles for no reason, right? I hope maybe it’s for that Codename Red they’ve been teasing. Or it’s just a way to keep the community entertained. It’s causing so much active talk and search; honestly, it’s refreshing to see the AC community together over something that’s not a warring argument on RPG traits versus traditional gameplay.

I must say, the creativity in the replies? Someone found the word “DOGKYTE,” which isn’t even an actual word, and they were like ten points for us. Another person found “Luge,” which, by the way, is the sport where you scoop up people on this incredibly easy sled in the Olympics?? That must be an Assassin’s Creed Winter Games, right? The engagement this puzzle got in a few hours exceeded anyone’s expectations with the thousands of likes and participation.

Moreover, this is just a fun little thing that got the community working together and enjoying themselves. Even if your daily quests turned out to be “Leave Jacob” and “Drop” like some found… that might be a sign to take a break from gaming, to be honest. But anyway, two extra points if you manage to spot all 11 names, right? I wonder if anyone has pulled it off yet.

That being said, if you want to give it a go at home, just check out the Assassin’s Creed Twitter post. See what your three daily assassin activities are; might be better than your real list. Mine were “Contract, Upgrade, Gear” so I guess I’m grinding today. Better than “Eavesdrop, Synchronize, Dogkyte” at least.
