Fall is upon us in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and players are wading into Awaji Island with much ghostly panache. The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account threw down the gauntlet with an atmospheric announcement, and the whole community is now buzzing about this eerie ambiance in the game.
Shadows are growing and somehow the trees are calling unto the players for evil is being recognized and smelled at almost every turn of the island. So can you really make it without a scar? That is literally what Ubisoft says to the players while they wade through this Halloween update, which oozes creep vibes into the Assassin’s Creed world.
Now that we have the seasonal updates, the response is surely mixed but sounds mostly positive. One player, Matt, questioned, “Let me manually change seasons please,” and aren’t we all just agreeing? Mood. Sometimes you want to be the one to say what the weather should be and not have it done for you.
Corey from Corey’s Gaming Hub suggested to fellow assassins: “Make sure to check the dark corners as well” because that’s where the truly scary stuff lies in these games. Meanwhile, Migzee said, “Yeah I have to finish the main story asap 💀,” and that’s how I feel every time a seasonal event gets released before I’ve managed to finish any main content.
The official Amazon Luna account also added, “Spooky season is officially upon us 👀,” and you bet was right. The timing couldn’t be better with Halloween right around the corner, and the atmosphere gives off all the right vibes for some seasonal gaming on PlayStation and Xbox.
On a contrary note, one player, pasliban, stated, “Expansion is boring as fark,” which is pretty rough. Then, Mr.Coop redeemed the qualm by saying, “Give us more DLC!!! Awaji was excellent,” so, I would say that the community is split on this one, to say the least.
Let’s not ignore the positivity channeling crew that came in strong, with Edward Jones-Luke announcing, “I am loving the DLC so far,” while Kerovin Black was already psyched for some photography possibilities, “Ooooh that weather will make for some awesome screenshots 😍,” which is a good argument; the spooky weather will make for amazing screenshots in these open-world games.
