Apex Legends Continues To Rise; It’s Now Four Times Quicker Than Fortnite

It’s been only a month since the launching of Apex Legends, and the game is already iconic for it has been played and enjoyed by 50 million gamers, as reported by Vince Zampella of Respawn.

It’s surreal because a few weeks back a lot of people haven’t heard of the game, and it’s word of mouth now. People talk about the game a lot both online and in person. The popularity of the game continually grows.

Gamers have utilized 158 million finishers, 1.23 billion ultimates, they’ve been respawned 170 million times, and 31 billion pings have been placed.

Zampella has twitted his gratitude to the 50 million players who have played the game on its first month. He thanked the subscribers of the game for making Apex Legends special, and he promises there would be more surprises to come.

The astronomical figures aren’t really surprising because, from the moment the game has been announced, Apex Legends has been making a buzz.

On the first gaming day, 2.5 million people have played the title, and the number bloomed to 10 million fans after three days. At the end of its primary week, the title has attracted over 25 million players.

Daniel Ahmad, a gaming analyst, has compared the initial player number of Fortnite to Apex Legends, specifically about the battle royale mode of the two games.

The comparison was made on Twitter. Ahmad said Fortnite needed two weeks to reach 10 million gamers, and after 16 weeks, the game can’t boast 50 million gamers have played it. Ahmad said it’s the closest comparison he can make, and it’s an interesting number. However, it should be noted that the battle royale landscapes of the two games are different.

The battle royale mode isn’t really popular when the Fornite battle royale has been announced, and the mode came from Save the World, which can be called a mediocre game because it has not been well received.

Also, Fortnite didn’t launch the game in a polished state. On the other hand, when Respawn launched Apex Legends, it’s already polished, and that’s a reason why the game gained high reviews.

Apex Legends is quickly catching up on Epic’s behemoth. However, it still needs 150 million gamers. With the look of how things are going, the legend of Apex Legends will continue to grow.

PC Gamer reported that Apex Legends brings the popularity of the battle royale mode better. Respawn Entertainment doesn’t deviate from the battle royale formula. The developer just interpreted the concepts to make them better, and it benefits Apex Legends and the gaming community.
