Hang on, gamers, because this Xbox Showcase event is being launched tomorrow by 10 AM PT; and so the hype train shall never stop at its station. NVIDIA GeForce had teased the event by asking, “Which reveal are you hoping to see?” Then, the answers poured in like a crazy mix of dreams, demands, and a little bit of anarchy.
With that out of the way, one thing everyone clearly screamed: Skate 4. Nick/Deimos under his alias PepperoniCobra said, “I’d like some news on skate 4.” Honestly? Yeah. Honestly, it has really been years of rumors, teasing, and broken hearts. EA, if you are listening, drop a trailer alread-yiya!
But weirdly, Skate 4 was not the only thing on the gamers’ minds. An equal amount of love has been showered on Perfect Dark as well! _Multi___ (Multi202) begged, “Perfect Dark Please!!!,” and AlfredoVasini (🌯 Manz_Squick 🌯) having gone full wishlist mode asked about Halo, Everwild, and even a brand-new Killer Instinct. This guy has dreams, and honestly, respect.
As for Halo, ziroofio pleaded and said, “Please be Halo!! 🙏🙏🙏,” and, seriously, after Infinite’s rocky launch, we could use some good Halo news. Maybe a campaign expansion? A new multiplayer map? Something to revive hope in us again.
Following up: State of Decay 3 bunch. mhs619 (Mehedi Hassan Shaon) said they have been waiting eagerly for news and KadenAFountain1 (Nol) admitted that they’ll need a PC upgrade before it drops. Yeah, we feel that. Zombie survival games hit different, and Undead Labs better deliver.
Now here are the others who aren’t interested in games. Some of them are a bit bitter. m2stech (Mahbod ❎) went off on NVIDIA, saying he would like to see “nvidia revealing their recommitment to games over AI and ending their shady overpriced practises.” Oof. Greg__Snow (Greg Snow ❄) was also throwing shade with, “Unabashed greed… the reveal you were hoping to not see.” Damn, guys, save some of those burns for the rest of us.
Don’t forget the random wishlist. RickKehoe17 (Parabola) wants a Fallout 3 Remaster (Bethesda pls), Alithehedgehog wants a Persona 4 Remaster/Remake (Atlus, we’re waiting), and JessyRodgers1 (MG5G) casually drops “Forza horizon 6” like it’s no big deal. Bro, we haven’t really had a chance to digest FH5 yet.
Then the conspiracy theories come into play. GamingKarmig (KaRMiG) stated something about “ES RARO ver a Nvidia Promocionando el xbox showcase” (it’s weird to see Nvidia promoting the Xbox showcase), wondering if NVIDIA might be supplying the GPU for Xbox-PC. Hmm… interesting.
That really sets the mood perfectly: Dxronthemenace (Dxron $XRP) put it perfectly: “lol Xbox gotta save Summer games fest 3yrs in a row.” After a somewhat meh Summer Game Fest, all eyes are on Xbox to bring some heat: Will they deliver? We’ll find out tomorrow.
