Game Pass has pulled yet another classic move of theirs. The classic move where a fresh batch of games drops on the service, causing the internet to lose it for a few hours. They’ve done it again. This time, the cryptic tweet with the link and an image only saying “coming up next with Game Pass” had people losing their minds in the replies.

Let’s recap for those that came in late and missed the madness. New games are dropping on Xbox Game Pass. It’s a Microsoft subscription service where you pay a monthly fee and get access to lots of games. Known to everyone, but what’s always the best part about these announcements is the community’s reaction. And this time? Oh boy, was the reaction a lot different.

There are certainly some new games that have a few people excited. First of all, Roadcraft and its hype. The game initially got some buzz when Chris XCX said, “roadcraft is gonna go hard man I’m so excited for that one!!!” and other people like Ese Yorch said fun stuff like, “Roadcraft got me hyped, i guess i’m getting old 😅💪.” So this is one to definitely keep an eye out for. Then there’s Nine Sols, which Lupus KF mentioned and simply stated, “Nine Sols is 🔥.”

Now, the likely “winner” of this whole announcement has to be…Paw Patrol World. Honestly, the comments are mixed with genuine excitement and so many jokes for this children’s game. CrtAx chose to name it “Paw Patrol GOTY” (Game Of The Year) while Yoavdontmiss sarcastically said, “I can’t believe they added the game we’ve been waiting for, for 6 years… paw patrol.” Jokes kept flowing, Mr.Mordicai joking with a user, “Yeah we know you excited to play Paw Patrol World.” The community has picked up on this accessible joke, but the funny thing is some of these people said jokes are playing the game, and that is indeed funny.

DNARRO fired the first shot, and like always, the internet had to respond. Their words were “More shit games….” and to no surprise, there was also the usual one person asking for completely different content. Iarlenzito with, “Where’s my 2k25 mf,” and miguelbangz with, “When modern warfare remake?” Like, bruh, just give them five minutes to revel in the fact that new games were announced.

The ever-present Silksong hope and every one else was out in the open as well. The Westside Gamer stated “Silksong and 5 hobos !” while Rellz said, “Why bother releasing anything else but silksong this month?” The Hollow Knight Silksong wait is the most referenced wait in gaming humor, but the joke is that the wait isn’t really a joke, as we still keep waiting.

People defending Game Pass in the replies is what’s really fascinating to me. Littlenutsac_ added, “I’ve been trying to tell people this for years. Literally nothing better for someone gaming on a budget,” and FromSoft Central replied to someone with, “100%. They have been having a lot of great day 1 releases on there. Def worth it.” It’s refreshing to see players rally for the value of the service instead of simply complaining.

Replying to a thread, user12364949393 wrote “Console wars in the big 2025 🥀. Poor people getting ragebaited,” which led to some random console wars drama in the replies because some people can’t have peace.

The weirdest interaction of all—Best Buy Support ended up in the Game Pass replies?? To someone named Xi JinPoah, they wrote: “Hello! Thank you for reaching out. As a gamer myself, I can understand your concern with our gaming selection.” How did Best Buy get here?? The internet is a strange place man.

Everything leans towards excitement, which is great because Kinagi said “The hype is REALLLLL,” which perfectly encapsulates the situation. On the flip side, Anthony_NOT said, “The post I’ve been waiting For Years!” which seems a bit over the top, but it’s relatable.

While Game Pass continues to be one of the best deals in gaming, the community becomes entertaining, even when the lineup contains “Paw Patrol” alongside genuinely hyped games. The stark mix of sincere excitement, sarcastic comebacks, and out-of-nowhere requests for unrelated games is the best thing the gaming Twitter community can offer, and truly, we wouldn’t want it any other way. As much as I’d love for the jokes to stop, I’m diving into Paw Patrol because the only way I can truly understand the hype is to go Hands-on.
