LCS ‘s week 9 decided the destiny of many teams.

While some teams failed to adapt to the online environment, most of them adapted to the online environment quite well.

100 Thieves vs Team Solo Mid

Aatrox / Jarvan / Azir / Varus / Tahm Kench vs Ornn / Trundle / Viktor / Aphelios / Nautilus

100 Thieves’ came into the last week prepared and ready to take the trophy. They began the week 9 of LCS with a decisive win against Team Solo Mid, who managed to take down Cloud 9 last week. They are looking really great going into the playoffs.

Cloud 9 vs Evil Geniuses

Quinn / Gragas / Ornn / Aphelios / Shen vs Renekton / Lee sin / Kayle / Kai’sa / Nautilus

Cloud 9 picked an extremely nasty comp with 3 frontline champions and 2 carries in Quinn and Aphelios. Even though EG tried to answer with a hyper carry Kayle on their own, they were unable to execute it and lost to Cloud 9’s superior gameplay. EG even though lost still look like a contender for a top 3 team.

FlyQuest vs Team Liquid

Aatrox / Trundle / Syndra / Xayah / Rakan vs Renekton / Rek’sai / Zoe / Kalista / Taric

Team Liquid is the worst team in LCS this split. Even though they woke up from their slumber, it’s a bit too late, there are slim chances of them to qualify for playoffs and they’ll be the first team to miss them after winning the Championship. FlyQuest, on the other hand, looked different today. They’ve won most recent games in the second round of Spring Split convincingly but this game was not one of them. FlyQuest won this game with superior macro gameplay and secured a spot in the playoffs.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Golden Guardians

Renekton / Sejuani / Corki / Ezreal / Tahm vs Aatrox / Jarvan / Sylas / Varus / Ziggs

Golden Guardians get one step closer to playoffs after a decisive win against LCS’s last-place team. Even though there were some flukes in-game, Golden Guardians managed to play really well and almost secured a spot in LCS’s Spring Split playoffs.

Dignitas vs Immortals

Ornn / Pantheon / Syndra / Ezreal / Tahm vs Mordekaiser / Olaf / Orianna / Aphelios / Nautilus

An hour long game with insane plays all around the Rift. Both teams looked like great contenders for the playoffs of the Spring Split, but they need to win their next matches if they want to qualify. Apollo’s Ezreal should be banned on a constant basis if teams want to win against him.

That is all for  Week 9, Day 2 coverage of LCS 2020, stay tuned for more in the upcoming days.
