Apparently, there is a lot of buzz about Vampire The Masquerade 2 and the things happening behind the scenes of blood suckers and loud moans. The voice actors are confused or mixed at least?? It’s a real mess on the internet with mixed feelings among the players who are sometimes not sure and at the same time are laughing their butts off.
The saga started when a video was shared showing the hero sucking blood from a victim and the victim was sounding moaning really loudly. What I am trying to say is there were absolute pleasure moans of the poor person while he is literally getting his blood sucked. The upload person also raised a question, “Why are the moans coming from the victim if the main character is sucking their blood💀” and honestly that was my first reaction too. If normally considered, it seems a little weird though.
Now, the gaming community really did come up with some vampire lore knowledge as the story took a complicated turn. Some gamers shared their insights pointing at the Vampire The Masquerade universe where the “kiss” (that’s what they call feeding) is an unbelievable pleasurable experience for the human being. Some commentators even claimed it is more pleasurable than sex. An individual described it as a blend of supernatural ecstasy that makes victims a little less likely to resist, which actually sounds reasonable from the vampire’s point of view. If it were the other way around, there would be a lot of blood and chaos and it would be super inconvenient for the suckers.
The voice acting is one of the issues that has been hotly debated. Supposedly, a case has arisen in which, at times, a male character gets sucked and you will hear female moaning sounds, and the reverse is also true. It has been giving people big Grand Theft Auto police voice flashbacks where you would have lady cops with dude voices and male cops sounding like women. One gamer said it “never stops being funny” and honestly they are not mistaken. It’s one of those glitches that are more comical than game-breaking.
Community reactions are really diverse. On the one hand, some users are justifying the moaning as the perfect representation of the vampire legend, while on the other hand, the game is roast. There are posts calling it an “ahhh weird game” and people even suggesting that others should just play the original Bloodlines game instead. However, it is a hot discussion – some gamers declare that “you know nothing about VTM but you are ready to complain about every single thing” while others are just enjoying the humor of the situation.
What is really interesting is the way people are divided regarding the issue of whether it is a big deal or not. While some are saying it is just a minor glitch that does not spoil the game, others argue that it is a sign that the whole thing is “undercooked.” Besides that, there are even comparisons to how the original Vampire The Masquerade game was packed with bugs yet still earned the title of a cult classic; thus, maybe the players should lighten up on the sequel?
The voice mixing was an issue that pretty much put developers in an embarrassing position. Like, if you are going to have people moaning in the bloodsucking scene, at least make sure the right gender sounds are coming from the speakers. It’s not rocket science, and when it goes wrong, it results in these incredibly inappropriate moments that completely break the immersion. Unless, of course, vampires have some kind of magical voice-changing powers that we are not aware of.
But it is just a typical day in the gaming industry, where silly bugs become memes within the community. The moaning may be compatible with the lore, but the mismatched voices? That is just the tolerated jank of yesteryears. And honestly, sometimes these moments are what make gaming so fun and unpredictable – you never know when you will come across a scenario that will make you say “wait, what am I playing right now?”
Nonetheless, the whole episode certainly has the spotlight on Vampire The Masquerade 2, but maybe not for the reasons that the developers would have wished. The combination of the pleasure sounds and the gender swapping in voice acting has put it on the infamous games list which people talk about for all the wrong reasons but in a funny way. And in the present gaming situation, that is sometimes as good as being perfect, especially when considering platforms like PlayStation and Xbox.
