The Rupture bundle in VALORANT is said to be a sore subject among gamers. The bundle costs 2,930 VP (Valorant Points for those who are unaware), while each gun is priced at 875. As for the reception-well, let’s just say the crowd has been mixed-and loud.
What does the bundle offer? Not much, apparently. They were calling it filler, garbage, and even a “chopped bundle” (whatever that means). An appropriate stance to take-would be one player who stated, “I refuse to acknowledge that this is real.” Another one jokingly said Riot just took the battle pass skin line and threw it into a bundle-oof.
One can truly taste frustration in those comments: “Riot is messing with us,” said one player, while another wanted to see the melee weapon for it to be the one thing able to save the bundle. Then there’s that one player who maybe would buy the Marshal… but only if it showed up in their Black Market next year. Priorities, right?
There’s also the ugly comparison with Space Jam. Probably if you’re gonna release one of these bundles, you might as well go all out with the absurdity.
Why all the backlash? VALORANT players are really accustomed to high-end skins, like Elderflame, Prime, and even on the somewhat talked-up days for Neptune skins. But the Rupture bundle is being called lazy, uninspired, and simply not worth it. At nearly 3,000 VP, your mind better start conjuring some glamour to stark contrast and become an in-game head-turner. This sure isn’t!
Money is not a problem for Riot. VALORANT usually sells out with topicked skins. But this one? Feels like one time where you would want to make a mistake. Maybe the current one, maybe this one in the design, or maybe not-At least in the present moment. Players are basically agitated about the servicing of leftovers. Loud, hungry demand: Do better.
Yeah, will they? Hard to say. They’ve had a decent track record of responding to feedback, but in the meantime, that Rupture bundle is just there descending into the shop like a bad joke. If you really feel like buying it… maybe wait for the next drop. Or just save your VP for something that isn’t getting slammed on Twitter.
Meanwhile, players are scratching their heads wondering whether this is the worst bundle ever, or just another forgettable filler pack. The VALORANT community will absolutely not hold back, which is half the fun.
So, Rupture bundle: yay or nay? For the majority, definitely a hard nay. But it’s a silver lining to have some great tweets out of it anyway.
