Did you know that the official VALORANT Esports EMEA account just announced that registration is now open for Project Blender? Just sums up YOUR TIME IS NOW to anyone who bothers to go to their website and check it out for further details. If you’re into the competitive scene of VALORANT, now that is how to perfect an announcement.
Oof. The reply tweets. THEY TOOK THAT LITTLE ENTRY INTO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TERRITORY AND ARE HONESTLY MORE FUN TO WATCH THAN THE ANNOUNCEMENT?? You gotta see this. The replies have to be chaotic. One guy, J O H N, just goes: “@valesports_emea @ProjectBlender_ What’s going on in the replies bruh,” and honestly, same?? Like, what IS going on? Another fella named taro said, “Bros can spam on twitter but cant even buy their team’s bundle I cant 😂,” and he’s probably right, let’s be honest.
Now it’s about to get more and more weird. KOI El Mono Poly comes out of nowhere and unleashes, “Se va a registrar su abuela,” meaning, roughly, “Your grandma is going to register” LOL. And some other username just put down a solitary “Basura,” the Spanish word for trash. Another one goes, “Me la pela,” which is more or less a vulgar way of saying, “I don’t care.” The energy itself? Eh. There’s one.
But hey, there was one silver lining buried in there! The Szalony moniker replied to Jakubus ‘Jestem gotowy😈,’ aka ‘I’m ready’ in Polish, so there’s that. At least there’s one person excited.
Now, what exactly IS Project Blender? According to the tweet, it looks like some kind of VALORANT tournament or program, right? They’re telling suckers to register at the link, so it’s really for players who want to try entering the competitive sphere. So, if the official VALORANT Esports account is endorsing it, then it must be legit. Probably a talent search or a new league. They didn’t really say, except to hint that registrations were open and your time is now. Creepy.
The fact that trolling and joking constitute most of the comments in response rather than trying to gather information about the event, speaks volumes. The community reaction is… nothing special. Usually, a great esports account says something, and everyone’s hyping it up and demanding details; this one, however, just led to meme-making and sarcasm. Funny in itself but maybe a little telling. It probably implies that people aren’t really excited about this? Or maybe they’re just behaving like internet assholes.
Isn’t it kind of funny that the VALORANT Esports is putting this up instead of the main VALORANT account? So, of course, whatever this is, it has to relate to esports. Project Blender could be some sort of mixer event or even a completely new kind of tournament? Blender makes one think of the word “mixing,” so maybe it has something to do with mixing teams or players from different regions? That would actually be cool.
But yeah, the entire desktop is nothing but clowns. One guy said that basically summed it up in a nutshell: “these replies bro I can’t 🤣.” It’s basically just another bunch of gamers goofing around, refusing to take this announcement seriously. Pretty standard Twitter behavior, eh?
Anyway, in case you’re interested in this Project Blender thing, go to that website they linked from the tweet. Because, amid the chaos in replying, this could actually be something worthwhile for competitive VALORANT. Or it may just be nothing. Who knows? I suppose that’s kind of Internet territory, with gamers being gamers. But hey, at least those replies gave us some laughs behind the announcement, even if it wasn’t what they were going for.
So registration for Project Blender officially started. So, I guess that is your time NOW. Whether you spend that now registering or laughing at the Twitter replies is really up to you. Just the VALORANT esports scene keeping things interesting for at least that. There is always something going on, from serious competition to Twitter madness.
