Riot Games has released the price list for the VALORANT new ORA bundle, and players’ reactions are like a roller coaster ride. The OneTap bundle, which comes with a whopping price tag of 9,900 Valorant Points, is the most expensive edition so far. This is going to hurt your wallet if you want every single item. If you are purchasing VP at the full price, that’s almost a hundred dollars! The package includes the following items broken down as each item possible cost: weapons 2,475VP, melee 4,950VP, flex 1,375VP, player card 575VP, gun buddy 475VP, and spray 325VP. The players are talking for sure about these numbers.
Some players, even not that easily, are already shouting out loud, and others are still hesitating. One user named Oswald could not better say “Aaaaaaaa my vp is readyyyyyy les goooooo”, and by that, he really connected with the collective psyche of all gamers’ feelings in the same situation, that is when they see a new cool skin bundle. The user dnwhtrades also shared the joy that he was looking forward to the bundle and posted it in the comments with a flame and praying emoji. There’s no doubt about it, the new bundle has turned the whole player community into an excited beehive. The player card attracted especially good reviews, and one user: DrizzWeb3 said, “Player card looks good imo” and the next person added their good opinion as well.
Nevertheless, there are those who view it from a different angle. Actually, there are several different viewpoints besides the critical one since the mixed reactions have been coming in almost as fast as the hype. A gamer by the name of Artle made a harsh comment declaring the complete displeasure and accordingly said, “The bundle sucks ass” which is very clear where they stand, no ambiguity. Another user, zioraa__, commented extensively on how “the newer bundles have sucky horrible 3D models” and that they “make up for it with the VFX and SFX and a gimmick.” To their credit, they even suggested that battlepass skins are more worth it now, which would generally be a shocking conclusion because the general perception of those skins is usually that they are not favorable.
Definitely, the pricing is quite difficult to comprehend. The high price of the bundle was pointed out by many people, and both CryptoCazzino and slotslv expressed it in almost the same way, saying “That’s a very expensive bundle!” FlexedPanda highlighted the increase in the price of the flex item from 975VP to 1375VP and called it “really unfair,” which is a major point considering that it is quite a huge leap just to get an airhorn sound effect.
If we keep talking about the flex item… then again, we have a topic that is dividing the opinions in the community. DrizzWeb3 was very enthusiastic about it, for instance, saying “Love the airhorn, I can spam it till my teammates are tilted. 🤣” which could be either thought to be very funny or very toxic depending on which side of the spam one happens to be. But then qian_mian_mo pointed out that “others won’t hear it” when you use the flex, which might make it less attractive for someone who wants to show off.
They are also comparing this bundle with previous ones and asking questions. haalarsemufc has raised the question, “Why is it so similar to the ego bundle?” and someone answered that it is “ego 2.0” which makes you wonder if Riot is getting short of ideas or just perfecting already existing concepts. Moreover, there has always been a debate whether the bundle is actually worth it or it just looks nice. Centerbackkk directly asked, “Is the bundle worth the hype?” and got a “yea, i think so” reply, but then you have people saying that the battlepass has better value now?? The community is really divided on this issue.
One very interesting and perhaps slightly positive aspect of the whole situation is that some players consider it as a pattern that Riot Games is repeating in terms of handling bundles. For example, the company seems to be more focused on effects and sounds rather than the distinctiveness of the guns. Also, when you are about to spend almost 10k VP for a bundle, you expect the guns to appear, you know, totally different from the ones you already have
Charging 4,950VP for the melee weapon has become another hot topic of debate. That’s half of the bundle’s price just for a knife skin and the spray that costs just 325VP looks, in comparison, even reasonable next to that. It seems like Riot is fully aware of what players want to show off and accordingly sets the price.
Some players are wondering if the VALORANT bundle is worth it, while others are comparing it to games on PlayStation and Xbox.
