So… eh… Valorant is the backdrop for yet another new cheating circus, and the gamers are going crazy. A now-criminally viral clip that supposedly shows a player using some sort of phone to track enemy movements later real-time put players into the social storm, dubbing everything from “masterstroke” to “laughable.”

The clip shared by ValorantUpdates shows a player who perhaps glanced at his phone that was showing enemy positions as a form of tactical radar. The reactions were posted, and the reply section exploded with shock and humorous comments with a player actually saying, @kontolatoss66, that “this hack is very popular on SG servers,” and they get “at least 5RR refund per act” of banned cheaters-yikes.”

Now that is the really messy part. Some responses may claim it is really a demo of Valorant Mobile testing in China, with @grok clarifying, “Is a demo of Valorant Mobile at a gaming event in China” superimposed above the projected screen. What?? That would make this something… not a hack? So then why are so many players still reporting legitimate radar hacks in ranked? Confusion setting manners.

More accusations, meanwhile. According to @Alis4s__, this one was “radar hack” where the player sees enemies on his phone, while @Gunbychan stated China servers are flooded with similar exploits going 50-3. WILDER? They say first-timers only get a 120-minute ban. If it’s really that, it really is bad for fair competition.

The language certainly doesn’t help here. From the Portuguese comments saying, “Riot Games continua sendo uma piada” (Riot Games continues to be a joke), to others in Turkish, spewing out news about Valorant Mobile’s beta, it’s one big mess. Then again, @TheMeowSage and gang seem to be joining in on the fun, with comments that go something along the lines of “Chinese doing Chinese things lol ftw.”

What really is happening here? Could it be two things: either that this is some insane method of phone-based cheating rampaging (with many replies especially in the APAC region); OR it’s a confused valorant mobile demo. In the meantime, Riot hasn’t responded to this officially.

Now, ranked warriors go somewhere in the midst of paranoia and disbelief. Is somebody looking at their phone for every suspicious killcam? Are techy cheats hanging around Diamond lobbies? And why does @Ur_mom_has_DiCK speak so casually about “ez bans” while being hardstuck Diamond? Officially, the Valorant community has now entered the age of conspiracy theories.

That all said, one thing is clear – either way, this being an exploit or pure confusion, it sure is giving Riot’s anti-cheat team a hard couple of days ahead. And while waiting for official statements, memes are gradually taking over: from jokes about “Average APAC player” to demands for RR refunds. This whole saga is proof that competitive shooters will always amuse us and give us chills at the same time!
