The Call of Duty spectrum went completely insane while Treyarch threw a mysterious teaser into the mix, sparking pandemonium in the zombie community. With the simple message, “All hell has broken loose at Janus Towers,” and the hashtag #Zombies, everybody seems busy trying to figure out what comes next, with the replies being downright violent.
Let us start by clarifying the teaser first. Janus Towers? How very odd. Just the mention of the moniker has practically got the gamers theorizing everything from jumps in time (there was a player who pointed to those erratic shifts in timers in the teaser) to full-scale robot uprisings. Someone jokingly said, “We about to be Panos gaming out here,” referencing those infamous mech-filled battles from older COD lore. And then comes the classic COD humor, wherein someone has inquired, “Is Hugh Janus speaking?”
But the real drama? The replies. Ok, the replies. The Battlefield crowd came out swinging with one such reply that read, “BATTLEFIELD about to dog walk your lazy asses,” while another tried to argue COD will always outsell his rival! Then comes all the rage that is cheating on COD, with fans blaming Activision and others defending Treyarch, while a very irked gamer has even gone as far as yelling out a #boycottCOD hashtag stating that the franchise is now a “$70 disappointment.”
But suddenly not all angry guys, actually. Some are just excited for more zombies. One shouted out, “ROBOT FACTORY!!!!! MECHAKLAUS????????” (whatever that means). Others are quite sure this is when we fight S.A.M. as the final boss, and there are those who really appreciate Treyarch’s silly style of zombies, saying, “i love treyarch zoombies <3” (typo original probably).
In all that madness, the one thing for sure is that Treyarch knows how to stir up some drama. So whether you’ve come here for zombies, drama, or maybe some memes, that little teaser got everybody interested. With cryptic timers and mentions of robot factories and Janus Towers thrown into the mix, maybe the next COD Zombies may turn out to be the wildest yet.
So, strap in, gamers: hell’s going to open, and we are all in for the ride.
