We’re just a couple of days away from the release of Little Nightmares 2, an anticipated adventure/horror title developed by Tarsier Studios. They are looking to move the series along with more dynamic puzzles, bigger threats, and even more suspenseful atmosphere that gamers really enjoyed in the original Little Nightmares.

The game officially releases on February 11 and will be available on all major consoles, with next-gen versions being available later on in the year. The game features a new protagonist in Mono, a young boy that sets out on a big adventure to discover the source behind an evil transmission.

Aiding him in his adventure is the previous installment’s main character, Six. She is controlled by the computer, but the fact that you have a familiar character to act as a guide was a great decision from the developer. It makes gameplay feel not as lonely and that’s certainly a plus judging by some of the evil threats Mono and Six will be pitted against in Little Nightmares 2.

If you played the original, gameplay in this sequel will be very similar. You’ll go around beautifully designed levels trying to figure out a way past obstacles and threats. Stealth was huge focal point in the original and that formula remains the same in the sequel.

As Mono in search of The Signal Tower, you’ll have to be wary of larger than life threats. Their size isn’t the only element that will send a chill down your spine as you try to find the best path forward. Their menacing nature definitely stands out.

You can tell that was a huge focal point for the developers once again. They want to keep players in suspense and that tension really does come through in all of the trailers that have marketed this game up to the release. If you were a fan of the original, then it looks like the sequel has a lot of great horror elements once again.

You can bet there will be a few twists along the way in the story and hopefully, innovations that further the series along in the right direction. Little Nightmares has a pretty loyal following ever since it first came into existence and it would be nice to see the developer continue supporting this series.

Reviews have already started to come in, but it’s a little too early to get the gaming community’s general consensus. At least on paper, Little Nightmares 2 seems poised to provide tense moments with interactive environments that you can appreciate.
