Last Oasis is an upcoming survival MMO that is showing a lot of promise right out of the gate. It’s being developed by Donkey Crew and is currently set for a Steam release of 2020. Although there isn’t an official release date on the horizon, we do know it’s hitting Early Access sooner rather than later.
Actually, that day is March 26 according to an Early Access trailer reveal. That’s great news if you’ve had your eye on this unique survival game. In just a couple of days, you’ll get to put your survival skills to the test against others on Earth that has stopped rotating. That presents a problem as the sun is now scorching hot. You’ll have to outrun it along with staying mindful of other threats.
That’s a pretty unique concept that not a lot of games in this space have at the moment. It should really put pep into your step as everything you do has to be done with a sense of urgency. Fortunately, the developer is not leaving you out to dry. You’ll have plenty of resources to use that will prove pivotal to your success.
For instance, there are movable bases you can build that will take you from one end of the map to the other. That makes total sense given the sun is now your enemy in Last Oasis. There are all sorts of ways you can construct your mobile stations too. You’re only limited by your creativity.
Sure, the first couple of bases you construct may barely do the job. With patience and understanding of this game’s resource system — though — you’ll catch on pretty quick.
In addition to building bases to stay on the move, you’ll have to fight for resources. They’re dwindling fast and if you’re not quick, you could be without key elements. You’ll get to compete with others in an open world as well, which just adds to the interactivity and difficulty of this game.
As far as Early Access, this game won’t have as many resources and biomes to explore. Still, players will have plenty of content to dive headfirst into out of the gate. If you like trying survival games and going toe to toe with all sorts of perilous threats, then Last Oasis seems like a gem worth checking out in a couple of days. You should be captivated by its biomes, creatures, and overall openness.
