The Latest Fallout 76 Update Allows Players To Nuke NPCs And The NPCs Don’t Even Care About It

A few days ago, we revealed the fact that the latest update to the Fallout 76 universe was going to evict numerous players from their favorite campsites. This kicked off one of the greatest mass migrations in video game history, as thousands of players across the game universe picked up their bags, equipment, and set-ups, and attempted to get the heck out of dodge before a bunch of new in-game NPCs and locations dropped on top of all of their stuff. This event has become known as “The Trail of Tears” within the gaming universe, and there’s a good reason for all of that.

Anyway, there have been plenty of unexpected developments in the wake of this movement, and we will go into great detail here to explain exactly what happened, why it happened, and what else is going on. Here, especially, will be a lot of emphasis on what else is going on because the update comes with some interesting… uh, consequences. What exactly am I talking about here? Well, keep on reading below if you want to find out what exactly is going on and what players are doing to make do with whatever they end up having on hand in this wild, wild game.

First off, Fallout 76 has never been a good game. Since its initial release, the game has been plagued with problems, and it seems to be one of the greatest gifts of the century. Meanwhile, while Bethesda spends hours trying to make the game even somewhat workable, we are still sitting around waiting for them to release the next Elder Scrolls game.

But one of the weirdest things about this wild, wild universe is that you can now nuke NPCs, and none of them even seem to care. You would think that if you dropped a nuke on someone’s head that they would be very upset. But apparently, in the universe of Fallout 76, nobody even gives a crap.

What does this mean practically? Well, it’s pretty basic stuff, guys. It means the game sucks. And also, if you think about it, this whole post refers to the ‘Fallout 76 universe’ rather than the ‘Fallout universe.’ Why? Because anyone who is truly thinking through these things must understand, the Fallout 76 universe has to be separate from the Fallout universe.

Anyway, if you like to play video games or whatever, and you are a self-flagellating fanatic, then go ahead and download Fallout 76 and see what you can salvage from it.
