Between July 29 and August 5, Ubisoft announced another Clan XP boosting event, doubling XP from every single activity. The whole idea has been for players to fly around objectives, unlock the Golden Weekly Cache, and level up their squads faster than ever. While some are getting all hyped, some, well… are not.
What happened? The event promised boosted Clan XP gain in everything—missions, open world activities, you name it. It’s a great gain if your clan has been arrested during the grind but not for everyone. @FirasEssid_ basically called it “another xp event 🙄,” wishing Ubisoft would bring back Leagues instead. And truthfully? They are not alone. Many others pretty much responded similar to that vibe, with @K__Sorata saying that new seasons are just underwhelming compared to old content. Oof.
Now, @phantascene admitted to being excited for the event, even though their clan wasn’t really prepared for it. Meanwhile, @TheseusBadger7 provided a link to a PVE Medic build, so some agents apparently are still taking the meta seriously. Yet, on the other hand? Just a little bit winter-thrown, which @Hooker503 summarized as “Man this season is dragging,” and really? The mood.
Now, for that cheater talk. An absolute mess indeed. “Ban the fucking cheaters and lagswitchers instead” instead of encouraging XP events, said @randomdivplayer. That “Awesome Ubisoft moment” of PVP cheating was seconded by @MarkFullHouse. And the PS5 Dark Zone exploits were blamed by @EdgarCa34608978 as “can’t do anything” from the devs’ side. Yikes.
In the midst of all chaos, @DesolateRunning threw a curveball at Ubisoft: “Will we ever get playable compound bows?” Because, to be honest, that would be way more fun than an XP grind. And @DavidKantr made the half-serious question whether saving the Manager’s Cat would be like a duck hunt mission. Ubisoft, got that down?
What’s your variation? The Clan XP event has come and is unto us-little bonuses for the grind-loving squad. Unfortunately, hype is something that just cannot be brought back for most of the players, for with the clamors for Leagues return, the promised anti-cheat fixes, and the occasional detours (compound bows, anyone?), the community has a lot on its mind.
Maybe next season. Or cat backpacks.
