The Division 2 servers are undergoing maintenance. Ubisoft provided for a downtime of four hours for the patching of the progression bug in the Crossroads Climax mission. While awaiting a patch for the event, players have grown restless on social media, and some comments are quite spicy.
In its current situation, The Division 2 cannot be played. The official Twitter account had also confirmed the downtime and mentioned the bugged out final stage of the Crossroads Climax mission. There appears, however, from the replies, that there is more to what is upsetting the players.
Steven (also known as Adlaw_) openly questioned the situation of those players that had already killed the boss and had not received their reward: “We need to do that again? It’s hard to find some good guys in matchmaking.” And well? Good point. Having to repeat a difficult grind for the mission because of some bug sure ticks off a lot of gamers.
Meanwhile, Nico tried the mission TEN TIMES for the exotic mask drop. He finished four times because, here it is, the final boss would go AFK and when he did, no drop. RNGesus was not with him. “Haven’t had it drop lol,” he said, presumably crying on the inside.
And oh, the story continues to improve. Some players were already exhausted. KapoonzO proclaimed: “Friday first thing lol time to move on to another game for the DAY. BATTLEFIELD HERE ME COMES.” And Carlo Colucci? He installed the game just so he could uninstall it again. Next-level pettiness, and honestly, so me.
Meanwhile, the critics started questioning Ubisoft’s priorities. “4 Fing Hours for one mission glitch FFS…what are you guys doing?” Ted Bullpitt (yes, that’s his display name) tweeted. Martkug joined in: “hopefully you fix the sound bugs and all other things that now working….ban cheater is more important for all dz player.”
Oh, and then some drama breaks loose in the replies. Nyxzy unleashed a tirade on the complainants: “So many of you bitching up a storm in here that Ubisoft doesn’t ‘communicate’ yet look at the way you lot communicate.. in here acting like entitled spoiled children.. I wouldn’t want to communicate with you lot either.” Oof.
Well, not everyone is mad: some are just hoping that this maintenance fix is for more than just the mission bug. “Servers were running like doodoo last night anyway, so this is probably gonna help with more than the mentioned fixes lol,” said Nyxzy in a subsequent tweet.
So yeah, The Division 2 is currently in a bit of a state. Four hours down is maybe a bit much, but when you’re halfway through a grind for loot, eternity is all you see. Are the fixes going to help better? Time will show. One thing is for sure, though-those players are by no means shy to express their views.
For everyone stuck waiting for the servers, this might be a good time to touch some grass or just yell into the void on Twitter. A win-win situation, indeed.
