So Insomniac Games released a new, very cryptic tweet, which reads: “Sometimes, you just gotta reach out… “; along with an electrifying picture of Venom’s tendrils doing that Venomsih thing that they do. And the rest is history; the net went wild!
Which begs the question, what is interesting? Nobody really mentions the tweet; oh no. This was chaos. DLCs, suit throwbacks, straight bullying of Insomniac about Wolverine release dates-it was a total mess, okay? A classy mess-an unfiltered, innocent-to-dirt kind of gig.
Hunger Games DLC – First Come – is naturally the loudest: “WHERE IS THE DLC?!” Another tweeter, @Jacket_VII, was less diversified and far more expressive: “How about you REACH OUT AND RELEASE SOME FUCKING DLC.” Harsh. But justifiable. Spider-Man 2 has been out long enough, allowing fans to expect expansions like the first version’s City That Never Sleeps. Now? Crickets have chirped.
Even daring enough to chime in was @PearlK_XvIII: “I have been reaching out to you about the dlc.” Oof. A little too subtle.
Suit Up Or Not Now Onto Suit Drama. @ConnorsConquest politely asked: “Hey @insomniacgames, any chance we could get all the suits from Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales ported over to Spider-Man 2?” Instead, @WebbJarred had no qualms voicing his opinion: “YOU SHOULD GIVE US ALL THE SUITS ALL THE TIME!!!!!”
@WhiteHawkRises unleashed some full-on comic-book geek rage against Venom’s design: “No, thank you. I prefer canonical Venom that uses normal tighter webs… You’ve made just a boring Hulk variation with the tendrils.” Damn. Someone’s mad about symbiote biology.
Wolverine Watch 2025 (Or 2026?) Insomniac’s other great game, namely Marvel’s Wolverine, became embroiled in all this nonsense. @AliAli923861 dared to speak: “I just came to tell you that the right time for Wolverine is 2025 not 2026.” Mean. All the meanwhile, @casualufcfan casually chimed in: “Wolverine coming out when?”
And oh, @JHGriff1987 asked the age-old question: “Ok when’s the next R&C game?” Apparently, Ratchet & Clank fans are starving too.
Haters Gonna Hate @DayTimeTiger117 was hardly.Anyone who played Spider-Man 2 agrees that it was very mediocre.” Ouch. @AdePerwira went for the jugular: “Nope, your female characters are ugly af.” This is a bit harsh, to be honest; but @KC_4191 simply said: “We are Venom.” Deep.
So… What Will Happen Next? Well, Insomniac hasn’t responded yet to all this. And? Any news on DLC? Suit updates? A surprise Wolverine trailer? Or more cryptic Venom tweets? Who knows. But one thing’s for sure; the fans are not going to be patient.
The same goes for me, really. (Also, @vengeanceDamian and @WhiteHawkRises are still embroiled in a heated argument in the comments about Spider-Verse games; it has been hours. Someone check on them.)
