Street Fighter players shed their hard-earned tears over its newly invented feature for Sagat. And, well, we feel the same! The towering Muay Thai Lord is back for revenge, and those jarringly new animations are just hideous. These are some frightful expressions, brother-if he actually stared adversaries down, it would be as if they owed him money.
The official Street Fighter Twitter account pulled out a short clip of this pre-fight face-off, and let’s say, you would not want to meet this guy in any alley, dark or well-lit. That eye of the tiger means business. The replies were flooded with tons of hype from the players, full of memes, and bidding for similar treatments for more classic characters.
Some highlights from the chaos: One guy funnily joked about how Sagat could barely fit on the screen (he stands 7’5″, what did we expect?), while others begged to see the return of his classic SFIV and SFV outfits. Then, another requested something as if he wanted Sagat to be a full beard and bald that would probably become a wilderness training montage- Mood.
The reactions were not dry at all, with one person sharing a meme of Sagat looking like a skeleton, while others said his pose is an aggressive “square up” moment, just before someone outright demanded that Capcom release C.Viper already. Priorities, folks.
Now, to the real talk: final fight characters. With Alex in Season 3, speculation is already being thrown around as to who comes next. Hugo? Haggar? Rolento? The streets are abuzz. They want that Final Fight representation bad.
By the way, Sagat definitely made a real mess of the Game Face feature. “Bicho nem cabe na tela,” a player tweeted (translation: “Dude doesn’t even fit on the screen”). Spot-on. Other players expressed how hilariously funny it is to see him go face-to-face with smaller characters on the select screen. Like, bro, relax.
Of course, that classic “TIGER UPPERCUT” humor started rolling because it’s.. Sagat. What did you expect?
Once again, the hype is truly real, and with so much personality poured into the game by Sagat, we know that players would love to fight right now. If only Capcom could listen to those outfit requests…
