While some are coming up with new ways to enjoy the old game, others are complaining that at least their favorite RDR2 has not been released. The former group seems to be winning though—a user who goes by the name of NoName suggests, “If I had the chance to play RDR on my ps4&lite switch, can I say the same for RDR2?”
Thus, the user base may be splitting in two, but the interactions are quite amusing. If you thought the question of who gets access to the new Rockstar game via Netflix was heated, just wait till you see the conflicting opinions on the Side that favors RDR2 over other titles.
What can also be seen as counterproductive is the division that this move has caused within the community. The atmosphere is electrifying as everyone seems to have a strong reaction either as a new player or an unhappy one.
Username _luc is the choicest of this latter group and he wrote: “WILL THIS EVER END?!?!?!” Yikes! Can you feel the frustration? Most of the community around RDR1 is happy that it is getting a revive and they are winning the battle for visibility but they feel like a kid who has just eaten half a cake while the sibling still gets the whole one.
Meanwhile, some players had the most positive reaction—the Swedish player Mikey commented, “This is gonna be my first time playing RDR and I’m ecstatic!! 🤩” Surely, he is not the only one thinking about that. Such a huge audience is gonna be reaching out to Rockstar to make the original even more available in the future.
Undoubtedly, the break-up between the fans is very dramatic. For instance, a user named Rich wondered, “Did we really need this? I mean, besides losing RDR2 fairness?”
To be honest, the whole thing has turned into an amusing game of cat and mouse. We are already longing for new things to discover in the world of games. For example, it would be interesting to follow the Netflix gaming plan as they were obviously slowly getting into it with these games that are already out.
However, it would be a lot better if we could be just waiting for the next-gen Xbox instead of the most promising thing being a “Netflix-like” RDR1. So, what will it be—either one player gets both or they share the same scenario?
