At the moment, the window exploded with all the cheers and cries ever since the announcement of the Summer Sale on the PlayStation Store from July 16. Some ones are up for it; some are down, and some just want discounts on a particular selection of titles. Here goes.
About the sale itself: the tweet had super short text warning people ahead, so they could make plans accordingly with a map emoji (mapping out some gaming adventure or something). But if one were to look through the replies? Oh boy, it’s a complete mess.
Right at the outset, gamers complained about the pricing. One user, @IBRAHMARSLANER wrote, declaring the PlayStation games “very expensive” and that he might just go to PC. Ouch! Then another, @PxntherBlxck, complained that the Until Dawn remaster hadn’t been discounted and said, “I’m not paying 60 quid.” Fair enough.
Then come the tired old demands for “bring back themes” from @RichwoodCman5_. Seriously, we’ve been requesting that for years now. At this point, it’s like yelling into the void. Meanwhile, @TuranCristian is begging for discounts on VR2 games followed by a string of heart-eye emojis. Sony, you listening?
Not angry at all is @Soulbound_TV who joked about spending “$3 and feeling like I saved $300,” which is honestly the energy we all need. And @Graphicsgamer64 also likes the idea of a virtual vacation through online games. Cute.
Of course, with a game sale announcement come the usual suspects demanding various games: @Binger157841 wants Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on sale, @sharkamongfish_ needs to get updates on Phantom Liberty sales, and @ChadKin97830968 hopes for sales of either Madden 25 or College Football 25 (Good luck with that, Chad).
The drama: @supersmokio69 claims PlayStation suspended his/her account “for no reason,” and the replies went from sympathy to, well, weird technical support sort of suggestions? @daodunk and @Skoal58K both tagged some @BRADONTECH_TEAM account, saying that they got helped with account recovery. Suspicious? Maybe. Helpful? Who knows?
Then the eternal battle of physical versus digital: @Shamrokh00 and @addi1661 traded shots back and forth about the worthiness of digital, wherein @addi1661 said he would basically just pirate a game if it’s ever revoked. That’s a bold move.
So yeah, Summer Sale is coming, and the gamers are all conflicted already. Some, ready to empty their wallets; some, throwing a cold, hard stare at Sony’s prices; and some, there just to stir up trouble. Are they going to be worth the discounts? We’ll find out on July 16.
Meanwhile, start saving or ask your mom for money; just like @gamedofficial_, priorities.
