Xbox Game Pass has launched the weird lunar thing and the announcement has also proclaimed the game release of Outer Worlds 2 to be October 29th. What no one can believe, is it lunar phases for game releases that they are now counting?? The official source’ tweet says “beware! there will be a rare Outer Worlds 2 Moon on October 29! (this moon means The Outer Worlds 2 is playable for you)” which is… no doubt a mischievous marketing strategy to create excitement in the audience.
The comments to the post have been less than polite with mixed reactions to the news. Some even express their fears that the Game Pass prices will go up and they are really annoyed about it. The_Chad1989 commented “Nah I can’t had to downgrade my game pass because Xbox decided to raise the price for no other reason than greed. Not to mention 80 bucks for this game no thanks ile just idk feed my family or pay a bil or something thanks Xbox for messing your fan base up” which is… yes, that is indeed a mood.
Next comes ManwithBlicky-uh who is actually posing the real questions: “Great, so on what tier of gamepass can I play this one?” Because really, with so many changes in the Game Pass tiers and pricing, no one knows what is included where these days. It seems Microsoft is trying very hard to make it absolutely confusing for us.
Furthermore, pricing complaints are present all over the replies section. Jeremy_lee92 bluntly told “Stop being greedy drop the price of game pass you get nothing in it and the rewards program is gutted so drop the price” and like… he is right? The value for money has definitely changed in the recent past. And LizardT simply answered “With what money?” which indeed is the case.
However, there is still more, the already mentioned debate about Outer Worlds 2 being a hit or not has not gone away. Drax_Sklounst and Iphoniez are having a heated argument over which game has more players and eventually comparing it with Avowed and Starfield. Drax predicts, “this game will flop harder than Avowed” whereas Iphoniez reminds us about Outer Worlds 2 gaining 11 thousand early-access supporters, a figure greater than half of Avowed’s largest Steam count. In this contest, the numbers of the games are dominating.
A few just keep on with the trend and silently “hyped”. BroosterWeb3 posted, “I am all set for Outer World 2” which is just a simple and very nice gesture. On the other hand, Jordan Mount commented, “Come onnn just release it tomorrow, I won’t tell anyone 😉” and it was like… a mood. Why not sell it now if we actually could have it till October?
Nevertheless, there is … one more drama happening. AvielIgnis wrote “MADE FOR QUEERS BY QUEERS No thank you, LGBTQ squad” and posted a random picture. And like… that’s one way to put it. In contrast, WREKTYRANGOVJ4F might be admitting to piracy as he says “I took to the of a jolly pirate. The game so far is fun. I’ve always supported the devs that made great games but they have all become woke or greedy.” The discussion is everywhere, man.
Also, if anyone has doubts about the game being of high quality, then gamers’ technical issues should be treated as a ‘red flag’. MylesOfGaming shared his performance worries saying “My 3050 gonna be chugging 😆” which is like… what, same bro. We all are at the mercy of our mid-range GPUs and just praying the games work smooth on them.
And the situation is the same with the international audience – OtavioS64384777 is yelling “DROP THE PRICES AND PUT 1440P RESOLUTION ON XCLOUD IN BRAZIL!!!” while gui_jacobino posed a question in Portuguese “Quando lança na plus?” which can be translated as “When does it launch on PlayStation?” confirming that PlayStation users are equally curious.
The mixed feelings are actually very interesting. Some are happy with the game while others are fed up with Microsoft’s business practices. Paul Warford asked “Is it possible that you will increase your costs between today’s moon and this moon?” which indicates that the question is very relevant considering how frequently the subscription prices seem to go up.
Not even the creators are spared from the drama – Enemy A.I. commented “If you have an xbox game pass at this point, you will probably like outer worlds 2, too!” which is… probably true? But at what price literally.
Interestingly, many people are discussing their downgrades or cancellations for Game Pass subscriptions. Nicole Wood shared “Unfortunately, no longer me, who had to downgrade the subscription” while roy hackney
