According to @NotPaloleaks, who has a pretty good hit rate when it comes to most Fortnite leaks, the collab is actually *real* and currently in plan in two waves. The first wave? The main Straw Hat crew—Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, and Usopp. The second wave? Probably the rest of the crew, though no names were dropped here officially. And of course, there is no way of telling a release date, but let’s face it; Epic likes to release stuff just outta nowhere, so ride that train.
The Internet was justifiably set ablaze with replies, from hype to some very specific demands. User @trinksdokkan was already on about including Shanks, Law, and Mihawk skins (why stop at just the Straw Hats?). Meanwhile, @_duskluffy was simply *thinking out loud* while on about Chopper—walking back to the point he may either sort out as a backbling or skin in Heavy Point form, both of which in all fairness? Kinda sound fire.
But really, the main question saturating every thought on the matter is: *How the heck is Chopper gonna work?* @CatwomanAnime was prophecizing him making an appearance in the human indeed-looking reindeer form, while @TR0YAMI were being the party pooper saying that he is probably going to sell as an 800 V-Buck backbling. I mean, it would be cruel, although somewhat beautifully true. Epic *really* likes cashing in on their cuteness thing.
Meanwhile, there was the other conversation about just which versions of the crew are coming. Pre-timeskip? Post? Gear switches? @TR0YAMI began mooning about Luffy Gear Second and Gear Fifth emotes, which, truth be told, would be fairly *insane*.
Definitely, not everyone’s happy. @ThatDremGuy went up in a minirant about how no collab gets really any attention over the other, particularly nowadays, with franchises like DC ignored, *cough* where’s my Batman skin refresh, Epic?). Then @frxxzy0802729 chimes, “Marvel gets a new skin every other day,” which… mat counterargument.
Most folks, however, just generally hyped. @starlight_n7 said that these skins were going to be the *only* thing they’d wear for a while, and honestly? Mood. If this collab happens, Fortnite will be all Straw Hats for *weeks*.
So… when’s the release date? No idea. With a leak text this detailed, though, it must be due a whole lot sooner than we think. Keep those V-Bucks charged, pirates—Grand Line may just hit the Island sooner than anticipated.
