NVIDIA is building crescendo hype for their GeForce Summer Nights event, and the first title to be featured has to be FBC: Firebreak. With just two days left, the official GeForce account on Twitter stirred up noise in the Twitterverse: “Who would you team with for a house wipe in the game?” Answers came with hype, interspersed with humor, and some were salty glances: After all, this is Twitter.

The tweet bearing that 🔥 emoji was heavily tagged by gamers. Some were already set with their dream team, by the way. @JuanTelleria03 shouted out @Tellex_13 and @Tellex13 (wait, same person?), some, like @ElFoxyBoy, are rolling solo right now—and kudos to him. @CryptoKongGavin is out here, searching for a squad, dropping that sad face, yet fully hyped for #GeForceSummer. Story of my life.

Some were not feeling the love, though. @danny__rea threw the hard punch, saying: “Nobody is playing this shit,” which… okay, Danny. Harsh. Then @istheOTHERSIDE came for the game’s design and asked, “Who decided HP over enemies is a cool idea?” Fair point, really. And the tech bruh moment was brought by @alexhunter322, who joked that his “squad” consisted of Nvidia graphics card and AMD Ryzen CPU.

The event was to take place on August 1st, between 6 and 8 PM PT, hosted under the aegis of @GeForce_JacobF, confirmed by the second tweet from NVIDIA, so mark the calendar if you’re onto high-octane gameplay reveals and potential surprises.

The split reactions were good to watch. The first batch went ahead tagging their friends and hyping up the event. The others seemed cynical or just plainly uninterested. And that’s just Twitter for games.

Honestly, there isn’t much to say about FBC: Firebreak yet with all pieces still awaiting their gamified fitting. But worthy of Peso-pushing of the GeForce Summer Nights tagline, it sure must have its merits. Whether or not it is a competitive shooter, a co-op experience, or something completely unimaginable, we will have to figure it out very soon.

Squadless? Go random or sweat it out solo. Or chill by the stream and debate if the game should ever see its way onto your shelf. In either case, for now, NVIDIA is shining in the limelight.

Who is that dreamy FBC: Firebreak squad of yours? Tag them or admit you’ll be going solo. No judgements. Just don’t be like Danny.
