Oh, Nintendo. They really never stop. They managed to pull a hardware launch with six million units sold within seven weeks-the fastest selling console, including the original Switch, which took about ten weeks to hit that figure. The catchy thing: people kept complaining about the price. Well, in the end, they bought it.

Well, the figures do not lie: This new Nintendo Switch 2 thing is just flying off shelves with the velocity of a Mario Kart speed boost. The reactions are so diverse, some gamers are ecstatic about it-there is no doubt that @sonicpulsar calls it a “home for fantastic games.” Some are angry that Doom Eternal does not run at 60fps on it. @goofyahlalafell is among them. I mean, when did Nintendo ever really gave those complainers an opinion? They just keep winning.

The price was still a topic, though too. Everyone was giggling and yapping about the Switch 2 price. Well, it turns out that so many people just do not have a problem with finances, as @CaaSS5 stated. Meanwhile, Xbox and PlayStation fans are worrying about rumors over a $1000 Xbox handheld and a $700 PS5 Pro; Nintendo is just chilling and counting the money.

Speaking about billions, now: switching over to profits. Switch 2 is said to have raked in profits standing at $2.7 billion at present. You’ve never heard of anything crazier. Of course, the Game Pass fan has to say something—MrXbotShill couldn’t resist pointing out $5 billion per month—that’s a nice story, sir. Nintendo needs to get in the hardware business hard now that they can just shove it onto the market.

Such amazing turn of events for games; a stacked lineup is really awaiting this Switch 2 and with Pokémon Legends Z-A coming up, the sales won’t slow down anytime soon. As @KahunaCilver520 put it: “The next bundle is with freaking Pokémon Legends Z-A—that’s gonna move units whether you like it or not.” Those words are true.

Will it beat the PS2 as the best-selling console ever? @wavefrombelow all but seems to guarantee it, and, honestly, with how fast this thing is going right now, it definitely could be. The Switch 2 momentum is insane, and give it a little first-party Nintendo magic, and it’s got a pretty fair shot.

Then again, not everyone will be on the train with them. Apparently, @bandogg81 has “no interest in a Switch 2 whatsoever,” and @YahtzeeXO just flat out doesn’t get it.

So much for more for us.

All the same, what Switch 2’s success means is: gamers do love Nintendo, or at least, they pretend they don’t. The hype is there. Sales are breaking records. That’s just what charts ahead; now, can anyone fix those Joy-Con deadzones…?
