Yo, Ninjaz fans, the bloody NINJA team said nuh-uh! Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming to all consoles this fall. Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Steam, AND Xbox Game Pass are playing this one. That’s right, no delays, no shady exclusivity; pure raw ninja mayhem, wherever you play.
So what about the boy Yakumo? He’s butter, sliding all over. The trailer has him blitzing hordes of enemies like a blender on “anihilate.” Flying swallows? Check. Lightning eliminations? Double check. If you have been yearning for that traditional Ninja Gaiden chaos in next-gen polish, you are all set.
Not so fast-hone those kunai already, but let’s get talking about the reaction. The responses? A complete mixed bag! First is CybernetikFrozone, side-eyeing the entire Microsoft affair, hoping a physical copy goes to PS5 as though it is some kind of freakin’ holy relic.
“Take my money but also tell me WHERE” is all RJ is asking for pre-order links. What about Mikey Thompson? Peak hype, with a GIF of a dude going nuts-Mood.
The last on the word is either way for the game to be incomprehensibly old-school hard like its ancestors (RIP controllers), but when Team NINJA is on the simmer for these games, we expect a whole lot of combo moves that are pure thumb crimes.
And hey, if you’re on Game Pass, you could play this ninja without having to spend a dime this time- that is unless you’re one of those physical edition purists; good luck with avoiding hi-tech delays during shipping.
So mark up on calendars, wishlist it right now, and maybe even stretch those fingers a little bit. Fall is going down sharp.
(And for the red-hot, Team NINJA if you are hearing, Ryu Hayabusa in Smash,…just saying.)
