So, gamers, some really cool stuff came down straight out of San Diego Comic-Con of 2025. Dark Horse Comics took the opportunity to announce that Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog fame, the big guy behind the company and the brain behind the creative force of The Last of Us, will be signing at the Dark Horse booth (#2615; mark your map) on Saturday, July 26, from 3 to 4:30 PM. Oh yes, you heard it right. Wristbands are limited, so you better be hanging around the convention on Friday or early Saturday morning if you wish to meet the man himself. Late arrivals? No guarantees there.
Bringing the reactions back on stage. Yawn, as usual, the internet did not disappoint. Some are very excited about it. Like @wampa_attack, who said it made their day without mincing words. Then, we have @AndrewYouKnow probably just sitting back, sarcasm oozing from the phrase: “Well, this should be interesting.” Aight, classic. But then, some others aren’t really feeling the excitement either—@anthonysteinerv lays it bare with a simple “ewwwww,” and @DrPlague_05? Oh no, they went with “Fck that sht.” Harsh, but hey, opinions are like controllers-everybody’s got one.
Wildcards. @HamSammich523 announced at random, “I’m going to be a dad.” Congrats, dude. But…wrong thread? Over in the other corner, @TLOUxFortnite and @TomatoMan45 are aggressively making their case for a The Last of Us x Fortnite collab—are begging somebody to actually ask Neil to his face. Honestly, if Uncharted made it into Fortnite, who’s to say Joel and Ellie won’t? We’ve seen worse.
And then there’s more drama. @Davi11215458 dropped the classic “Go woke, go broke.” Sure. Then @LinaBambina89 returned to the trolls and said, “And you’re a miserable human being :),” pretty spicy. Internet: 1, Trollers: 0.
Don’t forget about @AFarlam86, the OG, that is already planning the next step while asking everyone to spam Neil about bringing back Factions with “The more you ask, the higher the chances.” Big gamble there. Let’s see if it pays off.
What do we take from this? If you are at SDCC 2025 and happen to be a Naughty Dog stan, this is your moment. Be sure to show up early to get a wristband and maybe you’ll actually get to ask Neil Druckmann about that Fortnite skin you’ve been dreaming of. Or you know…something actually game-related. Either way, it’s gonna be an event.
And those missing out on this craziness? Weird Twitter will keep them entertained. Never change, gamers. Never change.
