The official NBA 2K account has reported that indeed the Season 4 of NBA 2K26 will come along with new content on January 9 at 8 AM PT. Players will have the opportunity to take part in updates across various modes of play, such as MyTEAM and MyCAREER. And there, right off the bat, the announcement has stirred up controversy around cheating and the game losing its fun in an overall unbalanced way.
So, the @NBA2K account gave us a hint about Season 4, and the responses were… Yep, it is the same situation. They always seem to turn the updates into major events, but still, nothing is louder than the constant complaints combined with the veiled demands and the chaos. In fact, the first reply does not even mention the season. It’s from some dude, @PatxhMadeDrippy, who is selling rep grinding services instead of discussing the season. Right away, another user, @luisw0rldd, chimes in saying “SCAMMER DO NOT BUY FROM HIM !!!”. The article has just started and we are already seeing the wild west of 2K community. Do you get the vibe?
But let’s take it a little bit back. The real announcement is rather simple. Season 4 kicks off tomorrow. This will mean a new season pass, new rewards, and possibly new events. The AI bot Grok even joined in to say that a free dark matter player might be in MyTEAM, a gameplay fix, and the rec uniforms could possibly be blue and white as per the art. Very cool, very cool.
