If I were to pick this year’s topic of discussion, it would probably be Monster Hunter Wilds, all because of the Festival of Accord: Flamefete seasonal event-from July 23 to August 6-the dates in which it will be filled with water gun fights, exclusive armor, and laughter. The hype for this new content is starting to gather some light with a user calling it “the perfect blend between SPF 50 and giant swords.”

The Las Vegas summer announcement was made in the official PlayStation Twitter handle via the flashy summer-themed backdrop that flooded the internet. Many simply expressed their eagerness to get the game. Morgan Marshall stated, “Sounds like a blast!” Sage Parker made a few jokes at the promo-art’s expense, “I’m not trying to shit on this btw,” she said, “This image is just so goofy 💀.”

So what is Flamefete really? Other than splashing around in water wars (because what is summer without some splash battles, really?), there will be some seasonal armor sets too. Pixel Luma said it the best: “Summer fun sounds amazing! Gotta grab that special armor, too! ☀️.”

Somewhere in the midst of all the excitement emerged the million-dollar question: “I never got into Monster Hunter. Should I try it?” ShadowRealm Ink made an apt reply to this question, comparing it to Dark Souls, which might be an exaggeration but is quite fitting for those punishing hunts.

In between some others were still grumbling over unrelated issues: “Bring back PS Stars,” SlyGoodman demanded. Next came Lu’Cie giving a push for regional pricing in Latin America, #NoAlDolarPSN.

Most beat-the-buzz-worthy was Manan Kumar, showering Capcom in praise for this style of live-service events: “Events like these are crucial for keeping live-service games fresh and engaging. It’s not just about hunts, it’s about the fun too!” This kick-started a fierce debate of his own, asking his followers as to what their favorite seasonal events in gaming are alike.

In any case, good riddance to the summer will be the event. Monster Hunter Wilds is going to bring players back in the hot days of summer to flaunt the newest armor, water gun some monsters (and buddies), and groove into the season.

Apart from that, who wouldn’t want to just chill with some water fights after a hard hunt? Soulbound TV said it best, “Finally the crossover between SPF 50 and big swords I needed ☀️.”

So hunters, date up! July 23 comes in blink of an eye, and Festival of Accord: Flamefete might just be the perfect summer getaway-No sunscreen needed!

(Well, then again, maybe bring some. Those desert map areas boil the central part out of your system).
