A tweet from Capcom has caused a stir among the Monster Hunter World fan community with the new look of the handlers, but instead of expressing “Wow!” the players are mostly asking for one thing: “LET US WEAR THESE OUTFITS TOO!!!”

The official Monster Hunter Twitter account posted the message: “The handlers are looking wickedly good.” Along with the message, an artwork was shown featuring Alma, Erick, and other handlers in what looked like costumes for a special event. They all were super nice and one could see the witchy side of Alma with her grand hat, and Erick was just so formal and handsome.

The reactions to the news have all been one big spontaneous shout of “GIMME THAT DRIP!”. Honestly, if you go through the comments, you will find this demand of the players repeating over and over again. They are not just complimenting the handler fashion; they are almost begging Capcom to release these outfits for hunters as layered armor.

Juicy 🦖, one user, directly inquired, “can we get theirs along with hub workers outfits as hunter armor please?” This was not a single request but many hunters echoed this player’s comment. Another user, ninjamurai, stated “it would be nice too, please, to get the outfits for hunters.” The demand is very clear, and it is in every reply.

What is surprising is that there are so many players that really think that Alma’s witch costume is way better than what the female hunters can wear right now. A gamer said, “alma’s witch costume is much better that the female armor you gave us,” and then he asked, “can we get that one for our hunters?” To be honest? They are right. That hat is already a grind-worthy item.

But the perplexing part is that it has everybody curious as to, why Capcom would not seize this opportunity? A player pointedly called them out: “Who is running your marketing and micro transactions dept? Do you know how much money you could have made with a sexy Gemma Succubus outfit? $$$$$$$$$” And, they are not wrong? This definitely looks like easy money that is just lying on the table.

The issue with Gemma is somewhat disappointing. A lot of players commented on the fact that she was not given a new costume while all the rest were. “Gemma didn’t get the memo :(” one hunter said, while another just wrote “No Gemma outfit 😪” along with a crying emoji. Poor Gemma she cannot even have the glamour when others are getting it.

The players even got quite specific in their requests as time went on. Some wanted only Alma’s hat, others wanted “Erik’s everything” (whatever that means), and one even requested to “layer over akuma” which sounds… interesting. The players’ imaginations in these requests are actually very impressive, they seem to have been fantasizing about this for a long time.

What is even crazier is that the community response is very much united. Normally, when a video game company reveals something, the reactions are of mixed nature – some people are thrilled, some complain, and some just say something random. But here? This is hundreds of hunters making slightly different presentations of their requests. It is quite nice in a way, it seems the whole Monster Hunter community has united for one common goal: FASHION.

Capcom must be aware of this, right? I mean, they have to be realizing that their casual fashion show tweet has turned into the largest player request thread ever. When almost your entire player base is saying “hey we want to give you money for this thing you’ve already designed,” it should be a no-brainer.

The layered armor system in Monster Hunter World and Iceborne is already quite intricate, allowing players to combine and match looks while keeping their original stats. Adding these new handlers’ costumes would probably be much easier than making completely new sets of armors from scratch. And the replies from the users are a very clear indication that the demand is indeed there!

Some users have already gone ahead and proposed costumes for other NPCs like the Smithy getting one as well. Ideas are flooding in, and honestly, Capcom? You should be taking notes. This is you getting the players’ feedback on what they want next without spending a cent.

It is downright funny to see how some players consider this episode as if Capcom was purposely teasing them. “Why would u post this knowing everybody is begging for there outfits and u won’t give it up like common sitting on free money” one hunter lamented. And, they do have a point? Showing handler style without allowing hunters to wear it does feel a little like a tease.

The affection expressed in these comments is just very heartwarming. People are not just casually proposing this – they are employing crying emojis, pleading hands, all caps, everything. “GIVE”
