Microsoft Flight Simulator has been in alpha for quite a while now. About nine months to be exact. So far, things have gone pretty smoothly all things considered. The game is shaping up to be a phenomenal flight simulator experience featuring in-depth details and authentic systems.

The developer Asobo Studio has a good grasp of where they want to take this latest installment, which is finally starting to wind down in terms of development. In fact, it was just recently announced that the closed beta will start July 30.

If you want to be apart of it, then you’ll need to sign up for the Xbox Insider Program. It’s completely free and you’ll receive an invitation if you’re one of select lucky users. That’s great news for fans looking for development to conclude. There is finally light at the end of the tunnel.

Asobo Studio will take this last phase to iron out the remaining details regarding the environments, planes, and mechanics. They’ve done a good job already at introducing improvements during the alpha. The community has responded positively thus far.

When Microsoft Flight Simulator does finally release — possibly in 2021 — it should provide optimal flight experiences for passionate aviators. There are so many things going for this latest installment, especially in regards to its authenticity.

The developer is going as far as partnering up with Meteoblue, a weather forecast company that is on the cutting edge of weather data. On paper, it has the potential to take this flight series to unprecedented heights.

The visuals also look impressive based on the many screenshots that have come out over the last couple of months. There are real-life airports all across the world, volumetric clouds, and detailed cockpit controls.

If you’re a fan of simulation games, you couldn’t ask for a more detailed experience. Now all the developer needs to do is listen to users that have been selected to participate in the closed beta. They have a good track record of making improvements where they’re necessary, which bodes well for this latest installment.

As the release gets closer and closer, it’s hard not to get excited for what this game is offering out of the gate. You’ll be able to soar above well-detailed environments for unforgettable experiences.

The diversity in the game also should give flight aficionados plenty to tinker around with, whether they’re in a crop duster or a Boeing 747. It’s an exciting time for a series that has a cult-like following.
