Marvel Rivals has a special Twitch subscription campaign which is set to take place from October 10th to 17th, as announced. Players will, in fact, receive one of the most exceptional gifts, the “The Man Without Fear” chat badge, by gifting a subscription to a Marvel Rivals streamer of their choice during this stream. The aim of this campaign is to provide support to the content creators and at the same time, enable the participants to demonstrate their love for Marvel Rivals on Twitch in a distinctive way.

Here’s the deal – from October 10 at 5:00 AM PT until October 17 at 11:59 PM PT, all you need to do is gift ONE sub to ANY Marvel Rivals streamer and voila, you get this awesome “The Man Without Fear” Twitch chat badge. And the best part? It is a global badge, so it appears in every Twitch chat you join, not just the one for the streamer you gifted. That is definitely a way to show off your fandom.

Nonetheless, the community’s response was not entirely negative. Players’ reactions were varied, from being thrilled to being bewildered. There were people like darragh who totally supported the event and posted: “U guys are the best,” but others were wanting clarification about the details. DuckieUwU even put forth the ultimate questions: “Is it for eternity? Is it applicable only to the chat of the streamer we gifted the sub to or can we use it in every chat we go to?” The good thing is that MC Panda replied: “Global badges mean across twitch” so the answer is yes, you can definitely be that Daredevil loving everywhere.

And then the question of whom to gift arose. Risenbackedd made it very clear when he commented “we are not gifting necros,” which, that must have hurt, but then VoltageWolfX pushed back with, “He can have my 5 dollars,” along with a laughing emoji. The drama! Meanwhile, THE BONEYARD told us “gift to a smaller streamer 😭” which honestly, that is probably the smartest move if you really want to help out the less established creators who could use a little support.

Besides, it is Marvel Rivals, therefore, character suggestions flowed in faster than one could pronounce “battle pass.” RhoyStrife is on post 90 of his “Put Deadpool” campaign, Grey Angel wants Elektra, and Vukester is still on “Day #292 of politely requesting to add White Tiger Ava Ayala.” The determination is real, guys.

To the contrary, some people are still not on board with the badge event. Trashdinho expressed it as, “that I should pay for a badge?” which is indeed a valid point, while Aidan Carrigg went the opposite way and said, “I will gift if it’s an exclusive badge,” so clearly, some players consider it, worth it. At the same moment, Sarahnator X brought up the “I don’t know anyone” situation accompanying a confused emoji. Perhaps, you could unearth some new Marvel Rivals streamers through this!

The competitive scene is also buzzing by now – ItsSomjuu declared, “rank 1 daredevil gonna be live all day everyday!!” and Slush said, “rank 1 daredevil will be live EVERYDAY,” in such an exaggerated manner, that it sounded like a challenge, so if you want to be gifted top-notch gameplay, then these are your targets right there.

However, let’s not get carried away, the comments section would not be complete without some… frustrations. Shaywouldgo vented in full caps, “CAN WE FIX MATCHMAKING AND PLAYERS THROWING, I AM TIRED OF FUCKING DERANKING BC OF A BRAIN DEAD TEAMMATE” and MotherSett just asked them to “delete quickplay bots…” So yes, the badge event is great and all, but players still have concerns that they want to be addressed, and they are not quiet about it.

Superdiefi was the one who wanted “Brazilian dub and a Nintendo Switch 2 version!,” and that led to some platform drama – Jetstream_Sam__ replied to someone’s question: “Last thing I need is a switch player throwing my elo,” which, oof, that’s some cross-platform shade right there.

But all in all, this Twitch sub event is a pretty smart move by Marvel Rivals. It boosts the visibility of the streamers, encourages community interaction, and gives exclusive rewards for the players’ support. Plus, the timing is also very curious – running for an entire week allows everyone enough time to participate, be it through catching their favorite streamer’s usual schedule or by discovering someone new.
