Marvel Rivals players are in a state of nervous breakdown trying to guess which character will next get a Battle Pass glow-up. The official Twitter account just posted a teaser with no context-hype image and asked who was supposed to be getting a Battle Pass skin next season. Cue the chaos.
The replies section? Pure anarchy. Casual players and diehard comic nerds alike are throwing out predictions that veer from “maybe” to “bro what are you smoking.” Here are some of the more notable ones:
– Moon Knight stans begging for his Mr. Knight suit (would actually go crazy)
– That one dude like “we need Howard the Duck in a tuxedo,” but how?
– At least two people demanding a pizza dog skin for Lockjaw (listen…maybe)
– And of course “give Deadpool a banana hammock,” just like old times on the internet.
What makes this even more spicy is that it is NetEase responsible for all these drops. A Spider-Man Noir skin in the last season ended with many people crashing the servers to get it. Not forgetting that silver surfer chrome variant. So next skin has a lot of pressure.
These guys are already crawling through the game files like raccoons in a dumpster. But preliminary rumblings put those early guesses at the either of the two – a 90s cartoon Storm outfit or an Extremis Iron Man redo. But really? This could be anything. It is Marvel talking about it after all – you would probably have like 80 years of wild costume changes.
The smart money is that jump-in reveal during the Summer Game Fest to ride that hype wave. Well, good or bad, wallets will be endangered when this event occurs. Pro tip: start saving those credits now unless you want to be that guy running default skins while everybody else flexes.
Wait what was I saying? Oh right-pray they don’t pull an Overwatch and lock the best skin behind a $40 bundle because we have still not recovered from that trauma.
