EA Sports has finally released its top-10 Throw on the Run ratings for Madden NFL 26, and the players halted at nothing. The official Madden NFL account shared a slick graphic of all the quarterbacks who pull off their magic when throwing on the run, and, within moments, the comments section quickly turned into an all-out debating arena.

So, here it is. There is even a direct link to the entire ratings hub. And, instead of everybody calmly choosing to endorse along, the chaos has begun. Pure chaos. People question the omissions, laugh at some others in disbelief, and ask for updates unrelated to throwing on the run. Classic Madden community.

In short order, mike myers comes second and asks about Brock Purdy: ‘Purdy???’, as if, how did the guy not make the cut? And you know what? He has a point. The dude was slinging it on the move all last season. Along come Deejones asking about rookie Jayden Daniels: “Jayden Daniels don’t exist huh?” Oof. That’s got to sting for the number two overall pick.

Brian is going insane over Geno Smith making the list. “Geno smith πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ when the fuck does Joe burrow ever throw on the run”. I mean: he is not wrong. Burrow is more of a stand-in-the-pocket-and-deliver type, right? But hey, skeeters at EA must have seen some trick that we didn’t. Or maybe they didn’t. Who knows.

That mountain of complaints isn’t all about who’s in and who’s out of the list. Lotto King responds to somebody, presumably about Daniels, with just “He’s not good at that lol”. Absolutely brutal. Meanwhile, Dain100K lands a pitch for Josh Allen, arguing that his throw on the run rating should be a 99 instead of whatever it’s sitting at right now. Smh indeed.

But it is not just all about the ratings themselves. Oh no. This is Madden we’re talking about. Once something is posted, that’s when the protests about something else start coming in. NewYawkEagle goes: “Hey can we get a week 1 roster update instead of this?”. Ryanwag15062361 and Brisk88_ are both inquiring about franchise mode updates. Like can we please get the current rosters in franchise? Is that too much to ask? Apparently, it is.

Funny walk down memory lane begins at TheNardz. They’ve addressed an issue that has been bugging people for years. “Every single player having the same dirt stains during the game is so lazy. It looks bad and kills immersion.” He ain’t wrong! Such a tiny detail, but to see every player with the exact mud patter on their uniform is just… cheap. Like, c’mon EA put some effort into this.

Through the turmoil, Dustin Fryer shakes up Cam Ward: “he is HIM and needs a bump in all ratings,” while ismer’eel drops the good vibes calling the top dogs “Unstoppable πŸ”₯.” A welcome calm in the sea of complaints.

It really is amazing how a simple ratings tweet manages to ignite every known type of Madden player complaints imaginable. It’s like a digital town hall meeting with everyone yelling all at once. You’ve got your franchise players begging for updates, Ultimate Team guys battling bans and broken rewards, realism fans complaining about graphics, and armchair GMs arguing over player ratings.”

That is basically the Madden copyright. It happens every year. EA rolls out some info from which the community dissects, argue about, and demand fixes for unrelated things. It’s tradition really. Will we see an update for franchise pretty soon? Your guess is as good as mine. Dirt stains in the meantime? Not so much. The debates, though? That they will never stop. And honestly, part of what makes the Madden community so interesting, frustrating yet interesting, is the debates.

Anyway, the top-10 throw-on-the-run players are out. Some agree; a whole lot agree-not. Everyone wants something fixed. Just another day in the Madden NFL world. To see the full list and decide for yourself, the link is in their tweet. Be prepared; they’re all gonna have an opinion.
