Absolutely, there is another Fortnite-related leak that could not possibly be anything new! And what came out this time was the emote of Lisa Simpson which, to tell the truth, had already surprised many people. The whole thing, or to be more precise, the whole character, certainly looks like The Simpsons, only the details, differently, are the real deal or to say the debacle that has everyone discussing or yelling, depending on whom you are asking.
With regard to the leak, it was the same old ShiinaBR who got it first, and thus Lisa was seen performing a small traversal emote while playing her saxophone. The same thing was happening to Lisa as to a kid who is having his turn on a toy. But then all of a sudden the audience noticed the sound loop and the sound was so loud that nobody could miss it. One user, BestyBattalion, boldly stated “the sound loop is frightening, oh my god.” But he was not the only one. Viewbob1 only referred to the loop as “so bad,” which certainly does not give a good first impression for a new emote. A feature that is meant to be fun; however, if the sound is annoying, it becomes a big oof.
But wait; there is more. The main drama is even bigger. There is a huge debate going on about the skins. Lisa and Bart are in the game but not just as they are in the cartoon. They each have a big mech suit on. A lot of players just disapprove of it. One player named Souplexity was very strong in his criticism saying: “them are wasting these types of skins on characters that make no sense. this would have been way better for a stewie or brian.” The argument they bring up is that we already have plenty of these mech-style skins, and it is just plain laziness to have the kids from The Simpsons dressed in a similar manner. They even pointed to a more unique South Park concept they saw and wished that the Epic would be more creative.
It has become a whole topic. Agamotto69 suggested the following: “What they should be doing is making these mech skins also have a sidekick variant that is just the normal character. And you can wear it with skins that fit like it would be homer and bart as the sidekick. Best of both worlds.” That’s a great suggestion, to be honest. People should be provided with an option. But Then ThatDremGuy came in with the obvious counterpoint, responding to another who was upset about the mechs: “They’re not going to do literal children as sidekicks.” Which… okay, fair. You can’t really have a kid running around as a combatant in a battle royale, that’s a whole can of worms nobody wants to open. So the mech suits are probably the workaround.
The other big complaint is that all the Simpsons emotes so far have been traversal. User ttvqueenryu pointed it out: “Why has every simpsons emote been traversal? Like other than potentially two. Barts was traversal, marges, homers, Lisa’s and krusty’s.” And luseally just begged, “they gotta make a non-traversal emote dawg.” It seems like players are getting a bit tired of every new character from the collab just giving them a new way to move around. Sometimes you just wanna stand still and do a cool pose, you know?
Not everyone is hating, though. Some people are totally into it. ButtonMasher90 said “That’s actually really cool,” and buffys just exclaimed “omggg i love this.” DabbieElla called it “crazy hot though,” so there’s definitely a crowd that’s excited to get their hands on it. GabWEB3_0 simply said “That’s so great,” showing that the hype is real for some.
Then there are the people who are just over the whole Simpsons season. User fjwalfurt bluntly stated “Simpsons season is so boring.” And direumatteul made a broader observation: “Fortnite really collecting every pop culture icon now, this one’s gonna break the timeline.” Which is… true. At this point, who isn’t in Fortnite? It’s a wild crossover universe.
Amidst all the Lisa talk, other random requests popped up in the replies. xemasempai asked, “Where is the pig pet?” referring to Lisa’s pet pig, I assume. MGRaidenEnjoyer is waiting for “Metal Gear wave 2.” GoodGamers is already looking ahead, saying “I need Moe’s emote next,” with a picture of Moe. And IIAMHunterII just doesn’t care, demanding “Don’t care where’s stranger things.” The priorities are all over the place, as usual in the Fortnite community.
