Insomniac Games tweeted a wonderful Christmas-themed tweet about the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales game that is now on PC. They are suggesting players to ‘put on extra layers’ with the winter emojis. The hashtag #MilesMoralesPC made the tweet a hot spot for gamers’ wishes such as Turkish language support for the next Marvel’s Wolverine adventure and stabilization problems in Spider-Man 2 PC along with requests for downloadable content.

So Insomniac Games unexpectedly pops the seasonal tweet in cheeky manner right? Don’t forget the warm-up! Together with the emoji of the mitten, snowman, and scarf. It’s a delightful nod to the wintry, festive New York city in Miles Morales. Honestly, a perfect game to be played this season. But what about the replies? Unbelievable! They completely shifted the conversation’s direction. It was like the tweet served as a signal for all the player requests and complaints that they had been holding back.

First, the loudest voice came from the Turkish gamers. And not just one or two, but an entire wave. It was like a reply followed another, all more or less saying the same thing. “We want Turkish dubbing and Turkish subtitles. Thank you.🇹🇷🙏 (marvels wolverine)”. That one by Yusuf Henek pretty much set the mood. Then Mert came in, then YedekoyuncuKen, Emir, BarisKayatekin… you got the picture. It was definitely a team effort. They aren’t even talking about Miles Morales! They have already redirected their attention toward the next blockbuster release, Marvel’s Wolverine, and the community is letting it be known that they demand full Turkish language support. It’s a pretty specific and unified demand which can be quite impressive to see from a community.

And talking about PC, that’s where some of the other, not so nice comments came from. One user, GalaxyWrites34, had a very clear-cut appeal: “Insomniac I love you guys but please get people at Nixxes to fix PC Spider-Man 2. It’s completely unplayable the crashes are so bad.” Ouch. That is really tough. Another player, milky_whale00, even mentioned Nixxes Software (the one responsible for the PC ports) to check whether any new patches were in the works. Thus amid the festive spirit and calls for localization, there is a strong undercurrent of disappointment among PC gamers who are having a hard time with the latest Spidey release. It serves as a reminder that technical barriers can ruin great games, and the community is not afraid to voice it.

The classic gamer mix of nostalgia, requests, and bizarre questions was also there. A user like TopherDotCom has been saying “I replay this every Christmas!” which is indeed a wonderful tradition. elsanteocho called it “PEAK gaming”, and I have to agree. But then MiddleFiddle1 comes out of nowhere and says “Yall dead ass never gave us Spider-Man 2 DLC”? Which I guess, is a reasonable question? Players are indeed interested in post-launch support. Someone asked about an online mode for Spider-Man which is a totally different and complex matter. JediPunch even came by to ask about an Xbox release date, which considering that this is a studio owned by Sony is a bit of a long shot but hey, if you don’t ask you don’t get.

oldmangaminguru expressed an odd opinion when he said that Insomniac should “Abandon PC ASAP! Bunch of pirates and cheaters😤bring back ‘Only on PlayStation’”… which is a very… passionate… viewpoint on platform exclusivity. Not sure if the debate of PC vs. consoles will return to its previous levels, my friend.

Amidst all the shouting and fussing, a few creative ideas slipped through. ajibthomas said they would “go crazy for more Miles comic stories adapted in the Insomniacverse. (Black Panther, Blade)” which is really a pretty cool idea. Skyezzz18 came up with the possibility of a Spider-Gwen game. And meaton310 was there asking for a Sunset Overdrive port to be made for PS5 or Switch 2, which I pretty much agree with, just do it already!

So what started as a simple, cozy holiday greeting from a game developer turned into a big community bulletin. It uncovered the players’ major issues: they were eager for Wolverine and wanted it to be global. They were battling bugs on PC. They were reminiscing about old games and Christmas customs.
